Kid looks much better defensively. He's going to be one hell of a pass rusher in college. He'll be able to really fill out, he's playing much more aggressively, and he has a great burst for his size.
Really hope he decides to come back in the fold. Roof, LJ, and Vandy will really be able to use this kid in a lot of different ways.

“We’re doing things we couldn’t imagine,” says safety Stephen Obeng-Agyapong. “But we’re doing them together.”
The longer this drags out, I think PSU gets him back. He craved the Oregon offer and has it. However, there is a reason or are reasons he hasn't jumped on it.
If Oregon makes it to the title game, I think that will diminish our chances greatly. Just watching them on TV playing for the title I think will make him want to be apart of that.

I'm not sure you are following where I'm going. He is a Plan C for Oregon and its apparent. He might have an offer, but its certainly not a committable one at this point.
I also think he's hesitant about going to Oregon for four years. It's not easy to move 3000 miles away from your family.
Truth is, I think he really, really does like PSU. That's always been obvious. Oregon is/was also appealing, but it's not a simple choice.
At this point I'd wager he ends up here again.
Kid will be playing on Sundays
Just a guess, but is #5 his buddy Scales?
Chip Kelly moving to the NFL could play a role in this too. Not saying I have any clue I he goes, I've just heard him mentioned a lot.
Should be a no brainer given PSU's success at developing pro LBs. In addition to Poz, Lee, Connor, Bowman etc. add Mauti and Hodges to that list.
Isn't his decision based on the health of his step-dad?
“We need to keep this (expletive) together,” Mauti and Zordich to Hill
Something is going on with Oregon recruiting. They only have 11 verbals. I think they got four this weekend because yesterday they were down in the 90s as far as rankings. Either some are waiting to see if Kelley bolts. Why not, since he almost left last year. Also, the NCAA might be closing in on them with the recruitment of Lasche Seastrunk. I bet they wait on Oregon until after the title game, if it makes it, instead of doing the circus they did with Cam Newton right before.
Doesn't zayd have family or family ties to Oregon as well?
If winning was easy even losers would do it.

Some. I think in Portland/Beaverton, which it's worth noting, is not close to Eugene at all. Three hour drive.
Yet another example of how it takes the NCAA forever to investigate infractions by any team (except non-infractions by PSU of course).

Then he doesn't have an offer
So, under his vitals in his HUDL page it lists him at 6-4 220, but on the highlight film, he's listed at 6-4 210. Either way kid is a complete BEAST! I'll say he's prob a legit 6'3 and 210 LBs. Would like to see him redshirt if he came here, and spend a season in the S&C program. He has the frame to get to 230+.
