Wow? Because I suggest we wait to judge, I have "grab assing blue and white glasses". What? Geez my opinion on fairness has nothing to do with PSU. It's only right to wait gather all facts and asses not rush to judge everyone.
Ok the kid is guilty. I agree even though not officially. But I'm sorry I just don't believe the crime is that big of a deal unless he's part of some sort of big counterfeit operation. But if he got his hands on a couple of fake bills, tried to wash them, and brag about it. Stupid - yes. Poor judgement - yes. Lost cause - not sure. I just don't know his background well enough to judge. In the end I will let the authorities and BOB/school make those decisions.
And I don't believe Joe should have been fired in the manner he was because I don't think he did anything wrong. Based on the information I believe he had, I believe he followed university policy, Pennsylvania law, and his actions are consistent with what he mostly likely believed to be true.
So you believe in the BOT and the Freeh report?

You obviously haven't been around long. Which us great, hopefully it goes back that way soon.
And like I said earlier, I'm not ready to boot him yet.

Ok, obviously I haven't been and missed something...
Not really, your opinion is valid and you're more than entiltled to it. Not sure why you need to be run off for daring to disagree.
"One man didn't build this program and one man sure as hell cannot tear it down."
In short, the BOT is just as guilty as the others in all this. And I have never said at any time Joe committed any crime.
Nobody is being run off.
personally, I'll leave the decision to the people that re involved with the actual individuals and who will shoulder the responsibility of said decisions. Although, from the cheap seats it sure seems like justifying not dropping him is going to be harder than justifying cutting ties.

I didn't feel that I was being run off either. And in the end MTayl and I agree it's just how we arrive at the end (not ready to boot Zayd yet) isn't the same. Although the Joe comment deserving to be fired did throw me a bit. However, I think Joe should have retired about 5 years ago, after the Derrick Williams class graduated.
In the end we all want what is best for PSU. Well there probably are trolls here that don't.
Him following protocol and him presenting the university in a positive light or being able to lead the program from there in out are not at all mutually exclusive.
Again, the difference is that the kid has already admitted his guilt.
Not only did he brag about it on Facebook, but he issued an official confession to the police. He's been charged and more charges could be coming because they're investigating the depth of their crimes. That's pretty clear cut.
They do their best to rock your world.
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
Also not saying he should get kicked off, just stating he earned the consequences of his actions, both with the legal system and whatever OB decides.
Front page of yahoo now.
It's been amended, if you get caught with a fake ID, with a new statute you can charge with ID theft, first offense class 1 misd, every offense after will be a felony. If they find out you created the ID, or used an older siblings, could get escalated to a federal felony. Love how the Feds get to pick and chose which cases they want.
It was only a matter of time.

Yep, had a friend of mine go through those hoops trying to buy a six pack.
Liquor laws in this country are absurd...
Well F' that. The drinking age should be 18 anyway.
It's kind of fun recruiting criminals though. Now I have a small, small taste of what Texas fans, Miami fans, and Florida fans go through every offseason.
We should start taking O/U bets on the severity of his punishment.
I used to think that way too, until I worked a bunch of DUI accidents involving teens because they can't hold their liquor and are even more irrational because of their maturity levels. Sorry for being Debbie downer. It ranks up there in top ten of sad things about this job.
19 and I'd be fine.
The taxes are crazy in a lot of states too. I love VA, I get my beer from the grocery store or gas stations because the increased commerce creates more competitive pricing and cheaper beer! Got a 12 pack bottle of yeung-ling for $5.99 one time at a 7-11
I don't know if you're jokin or not, but honestly, that one year makes a huge difference. The percentages in alcohol related accidents and DUI arrests in that age range decreases by almost 2/3 from the 12-18 range (12-15 & 16-18) & 19-21 age range.
