Hey guys. I have a legit question for you. Many OSU fans feel OSU is LBU and I know PSU considers itself LBU. Just curious, because I don't know the answer to this question, but who are the last 5-10 dominant LBs that have played at PSU and have gone on to be dominant in the NFL as well. Thanks.

The Father, The Son... well, it's the
The Holy Trinity... as I see it.
PSU was given the name LBU by someone not affiliated with PSU. Legit claim widely acknowledged.
OSU and others make claims for themselves. Wannabe claims acknowledged by fans of the team alone.
There is a big difference. :)
Suck It Emmert!! and "Sorry for not being sorry for being a Penn Stater" - Philafan
Sean Lee, Navorro Bowman, Poz, Lavar Arrington to name a few
Tamba Hali and Derek Wake were DEs in college but are dominting as 3-4 OLBs
Paul Posluzny, Navarro Bowman, Sean Lee, LaVar Arrington, Shane Conlan.
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
make that "out of down votes by 12:30 am"
...I'm awake at 3:38 a.m. ET and looking at this thread.

We are the ones that got the moniker from national media outlets based on the program's ability to produce great linebackers. PSU didn't coin itself LBU - like you and your fans are trying to put the label on yourself, ESPN did along with others. It's time you guys start accepting that. Based on the play of your linebackers the last two years compared to our's, I'm not sure you can make that claim.
You guys seem very fragile with this every year.

Don't forget about Jack Ham
Dominate The State
I am confused i have never heard anybody mention Ohio State as Linebacker U? Do their fans really want to be known for something synonymous with Penn State? Wow. Step off deez nuts Suckeyes.
Nobody does except for OSU fans. Hence why they are not Linebacker U.
wow, lots of issues on this thread...I will give my unwanted views on those issues.
Urine bombs happened....so deny all you want.
LBU is Penn State...OSU has had great LBers, but the moniker was given to PSU. OSU has had great WRs, RBs, and DBs...I like to say NFLU
I refuse to comment on the pants changing thing out of respect for JoePa....although I did laugh about it at the time.
Urine bombs were nothing more than a deflection for a loss in Happy Valley. If you won, no figments of your imagination happen. Instead of talking about a loss, its easy to talk about how your fans were rudely treated and were pelted by urine bombs. Again, amazing how only OSU fans are rudely treated at PSU, which by most accounts is one of the most hospitable places in this country for visiting fans.
Not that amazing. I have read several posts saying that when PSU lost Pitt, many fans picked up OSU as their rival. So if OSU is your sole rival, it is plausible to believe that amped up college kids(that were living in tents all week) at night would do something like that.
Sole rival? Yeah, it's not like we hated Iowa or Michigan during the last 10 years or anything either. You guys and your hugely inflated opinions of yourself do make me laugh.
OSU has zero claim to NFLU, that belongs to The U, Miami.
Come to think of it, OSU is nothing U. There is nothing that program does that is more spectacular than another program in the country.
Maybe Big Ten U? But Michigan still has 8 more conference titles, so I guess they can't even claim that title for themselves.
Who exactly is he talking about as far as RBs outside of Griffin, Wells, Byers and George to make them this awesome RB school? Two of them had good NFL careers; one of them was a bust and one is average in the NFL right now.
Several schools have better resumes at RB than OSU.
JMO, I dislike most of the B1G (almost all)...OSU gets more #$%@talking because they are the team that consistently is good.
JMO, I don't think PSU fans hate OSU (consider them a rival) if OSU continued to play like the last couple years under Cooper.
OK, then tell us your version. It has evolved from bottles, to balloons, to just outright pouring of piss onto fans.
So I am curious to hear what YOUR version of the story is, since you are 100% sure it happened.
Sole is the impression I get year to year. Way to deflect from the rest of my argument about the urine bombs.
I really am not an inflammatory poster. But if you guys take it that way..its on you.
they camped out for Temple, too. So dont flatter yourself.
another deflection...I know they camp out for games...I was using the tent city as a point to my plausible reason for the urine bombs.
see my previous post about the urine bombs...I want to hear your version.
Not deflecting, didn't realize I was supposed to argue about the urine bombs. Especially since the specific post I responded to didn't appear to be about urine bombs.
From what I've seen, PSU fans have never particularly liked OSU or its fans. However, I never quite got the impression that OSU was the team we most hated until they split us all into divisions just a year or so ago.
If you look at OSU/PSU after the dark years, it's been a lot of back and forth. Whereas Michigan and Iowa have specifically screwed us up in huge seasons, I don't believe you guys did at all, to my recollection.
