Rumors out there we're about to get another big timer. Justin you hearing anything?
I see nothing, but expect it to be a top ten type of recruit.
If winning was easy even losers would do it.
Bo Nickal is my guess.
Him or Cortez are pretty much it ... appears as though Nickal has more recently taken in the Penn State campus.
I'm thinking the same. Cael is putting together an incredible class.
I haven't heard who, but according to twitter, it's another wow! I'm trying to see if I can find anything out.
Sorry if I don't know much abotu where to find information on recruiting for Wrestling but where can I find good information on Penn State wrestling recrutiing on the web? Thanks in advance,
The On the Mat board over at fightonstate and the The Wrestling Board at BWI are full of knowledgeable folks who will post a lot of recruting news. Some national sites that include recruiting are intermatwreslte.com and flowrestling.com.
Thank you so much, appreciate it.
Some funny hints are "Bo Knows" haha.
When Cael wraps up his class BOB should put him in a headlock and bring him over as his special asst. to London.
The dynasty is inevitable!
I'd say the dynasty is already here.
On a bit of a side note, does anyone think that there is a more attractive HC position for wrestling than PSU? My question stems from a question someone asked me last night whether or not Cael will be at PSU in the long term. I said I think he will be here for a very long time because PA is so rich in talent, very close to OH (another talent rich state) and Cael's ability to pull kids from CA (and hopefully TX) arguably the two other top talent rich states.
What are others thoughts?
I completely agree with that. I followed PSU wrestling closely while I was in school but then drifted away from it until Cael came to Penn State. Now, I am an avid follower again. PA has always been talent rich. You could field a pretty strong team from PA kids alone. But with Cael at PSU, we have the best possible combo of a talent rich area and a coach who kids want to wrestle for. Can you say dynasty?
I think Cael will be here for 7 years. How do I know that? He wants to beat Dan Gables' record of 9 consecutiveNCAA Championships....
PS: he may stay for 20 more years to surpass Iowa's total as well......
Really I have no idea, but you need to enjoy the ride.
Also note Dan Gable took over a program that was already a NCAA chanpoinship team, Cael did it with an average team at best.....
My source tells me confirmed
Sounds like it is indeed Bo Nickal.
What is he ranked?
On FloWrestling he is the #9 overall and #2 at 170, behind Marsteller. Which will cause speculation about who goes where. More than likely Marsteller goes up, but time will tell. Cael seems to know what he's doing ;)
I'm pretty sure Marsteller is expected to "replace" Taylor at 165. If it is Bo, he will be at 174.
I think he will be here for the long haul. Consider the fact that he left his Alma mater to coach at PSU because he knew there was no better place to be in terms of recruiting talent. PA in wrestling is the equal of Texas or Fla in football. With the success he has had, he has his pick of instate talent as well as an inside track into strong neighboring states like Ohio and NJ. I think the only reason he leaves is because he becomes burned out, and steps away from the sport. Other than that scenario, there is no place better.
Sorry, that's it..You don't get another post out of Crunk..
