The Penn State Nittany Lion wrestling team will send five wrestlers to the national finals of the 2013 NCAA Wrestling Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, as head coach Cael Sanderson's squad went a perfect 5-0 in tonight's semifinals.
"I like your head, it's a good look." - James Franklin, to a bald reporter asking a question.
Agree...thanks for clarifying how the bonus points work. Didn't show they being partially awarded on the advancement points bracket scoring. Good to know. You'll probably have to remind me again next year!
They touched on it during the broadcast, but Ohio State is a very good and pretty young team. The Big Ten is obviously very good, but having Ohio State being really good will be spectacular for the conference ... PSU, OSU, Iowa, Minny, and of course the other schools that have top 25 programs. Really, we really could have 4 of the top 5 schools in the country next year.
If winning was easy even losers would do it.

Penn State with 10 pins so far this tourney ... translation 20 extra team points.
Minnesota has the next best with 5 pins, OkSt has 3. Those 14 extra points over OKST are huge.
Just got back. I'm drunk, but with 5 in the finals losing is hopefully about as unlikely as me not being hungover int he morning. Ruth is gonna win. Of the other four, I'd handicap it at Nico (mostly a commentary on how good the rest of the brackets are), Brown, Q, DT (I think DT finally gets Dake, but after 2-0 for Dake, I have to put DT last. Can't wait for the Sat night session.
You know what this means, right? You have to go get hammered again tomorrow night, and you also aren't allowed to watch the finals.
8 am, already working on it...
Can't remember if this was posted ...

I'll be at work today, so any updates will be most appreciated
Fight on State!
Got ya covered, CapitalBuck! I'll post a medal round thread
Justin, if everything stays pretty well on time, what time should DT-Dake start? I'll be out all day and am DVR'ing the entire round but may try to find a sports bar to catch the final match live
“We need to keep this (expletive) together,” Mauti and Zordich to Hill
Justin - if okie state loses quickly in the conso's, is it possible we could be national champs going into tonight?
EDIT: Thanks Justin.... you nailed this in the other thread. I appreciate the update.

Wild guess because of commercials, but I'd say about 10:30.
Funny, if Dake wins and doesn't get any bonus, Taylor will have outscored him on the tourney.
Thank you Sir!

What was the answer?
Possible. Not very likely/improbable.
