It stinks regardless, whether before, during, or after. The player knows it's coming anyway. Personally, I think fans should stop altogether. When I played, we heard things like that too and it can be distracting. You want to be able to not focus better and should be able to ignore it as a player...but even the slightest thought of hearing it could be enough to get you off your approach or toss or something.
I think it's dumb, honestly, for home fans to make any noise like that during a players serve.
I didn't know they were playing golf. Should fans keep quiet before a spike too? If she doesn't like it, then no need to do it. But really, it doesn't seem to be having a negative effect on her play. It just seems like a fun thing for the crowd to do. Kind of like the P-S-U.
