While I understand that there can be compelling reasons for ticket holders to not make it to the Wisconsin game, I feel badly for those of you who let the weather determine that you wouldn't attend. This game was one of the top 2 or 3 I've ever been privileged to attend! What an awesome night!!!!
I think another big issue at least for students was ones that stayed for the IU game had issues leaving home, I talked with some students FELLOW SENIORS and they were very disappointed in themselves for not making it for their last game
It was the single best game I've ever been to. So emotional and amazing.
Yes, that tops the previous two of 2005 OSU and 2002 Nebraska.
I agree. The only time I miss a game is if I have a family emergency, work (rare) or a wedding or something to attend. Fortunately, I've only missed one game for each of the last three seasons due to one of those instances.
I took my sister-in-law up for her first game this past Saturday and she had a blast. She finally understands why PSU is such a special place. We walked around campus, downtown, tailgated, and of course the stadium and game were the highlight of her first trip to PSU.
I definitely have this game in my top 5 just becauseof the significance of it and how much this group of seniors and this team has been through here. I definitely shed a few tears after Wisconsin missed that FG in OT. What a phenomenal game and great way for this senior class to dig deep, fight through the cold and playing in OT to get the hard fought win in their home finale.

@AdamBreneman81 @chackenberg1 you know your school has a pretty cool stadium when your 5th in the nation in attendance & ESPN says it's low

I was there too. Truly an awesome game. But don't let the attendance numbers fool you. There were plenty there, and as this tweet says, we were still 5th in the nation in attendance... 93K if I remember the announcement correctly.

WE ARE! And we will always be...
I've been to pretty much every "big" home game since '89, and several before that. Best game experience I've ever had. I will remember it for the rest of my life
Great game! If you had a tic, and stayed home, you missed out on a memorable game.

"I like your head, it's a good look." - James Franklin, to a bald reporter asking a question.
Honeslty, my biggest disappointment wasn't as much the number of students that were there (although it was disappointing), it was the fact that so few were there for the introductions of the seniors. That place should have had every willing body in it by 3:00.
One other thing, I found that while I don't like being cramped like a sardine, it is actually much better than sitting in a section where you have no-one withing 10 feet of you. Atmospher and noise is just totally different. We were on the 40 yard line around row 50 in EDU, and it was so empty it was ridiculous. We moved down into a more crowded area, and enjoyed it so much more even though the view wasn't as good as the original local.
Yesterday was my 40th birthday, which means Sat night was my last night as a 30-something. Can't imagine a better way to end my third decade - was an amazing game. My first game in the snow, totally emotional, amazing win. Very disappointed so many people chose to stay home, but incredibly glad I decided to drive up (and my Florida born girlfriend agreed to sit in the 33 degree cold). Hiked up Mt. Nittany yesterday morning to kick off my 40th - just an awesome weekend.
Attendance MIGHT have been 75,000. No where near the 93k they announced. Student section was so empty they couldn't form the full logo and "One Team" sign while the "Thank you Seniors" was being held up. People missed an amazing game.
Hate to break it to you, but unless you were born as a 10-year old, that was your fourth decade. 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, and 30-39.
Either way, happy birthday! Great way to start the weekend. Sounds like a great girlfriend.
Thanks! And now you know why I went into politics and then healthcare - that whole "math" thing was never really a strong suit. ;-) Four decades in - damn.
