Good points here. Another guy to keep an eye on would be Dwyer. He's apparently dropped a good bit of weight, and the kid has talent.
I agree with this. I follow PSU much more intricately than the Eagles, which is a staunch reversal from 8-10 years ago. Also, I've found that Euro soccer can be quite consuming with 10 month seasons. It's easy to stay in the forefront of your mind with meaningful games stretched over that long of a span. I'm still amazed at how much traction college football is able to generate with a product that is only available roughly 40 hours/yr.
Great point. Funny way to look at it but shows how crazy we all are.

I have hope for the o-line thanks to the draft where they took two quality linemen to go along with Pouncey at center. I am a little concerned about running back depth with the Mendenhal injury and Mwende Moore leaving. I'd also like to see more depth at corner.
I actually think CB depth will be ok. Ike is good, Lewis is serviceable, Allen I have a lot of hope for, might be Ike 2.0, and Brown can be a good nickelback I think.
Good call on the Chiefs. A few of my firends went out there for an eagles game the other year. They've been to a lot places but said the Chiefs experience was special due to the fans.
It is a bit of both. There are lots of transplants from western and central PA in places like Washington, DC, Charlotte, Atlanta, Chicago, Phoenix, Texas, Florida, and California. You can go to almost any city in the country and find a Steelers bar on gameday. Those fans fill the stadium whenever the Steelers visit their cities. However, Steelers fans travel well. I know people that organize vacations around Steelers road games.

Everybody hates a winner. Hahahaha.....
I wouldn't say Colts fans, and tht's coming from one. There weren't many before winning, and the reason they used to sell out was because the small stadium. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lag these next couple rebuilding years. Lots were just Peyton Manning fans as well.
Packers are probably the best fans, Chiefs are up there as well. Obviously Dallas. And the Seahawks have a tremendous game day crowd. Steelers are lots of places, but a lot is that older generation that grew up with the Steel Curtain. In my experience that fanhood isn't passed from generation to generation on the national level like the Cowboys one is.
Was there on Sept.11th last year and it was the best gameday NFL experience ever.
It's baseball season.
Pirates are in 1st & actually have a good team.

You're a trouble-maker, aren't you rummel?
Everyone seems to be concerned with the running back depth. IMO we will be fine running the ball this year unless Hailey's running plays are super complicated or something. Isaac Redman is a very under rated back... maybe not the biggest guy but he gets the job done just as well as, if not better than Mendenhall. Fights for yards that Rashard wouldn't. Could probably start on some other teams. Would be perfect for a running-by-committee team.
On top of him they have a healthy Barron Batch, who if you remember the players and coaches were raving about last year until he blew his knee out late in camp. Really excited to see what he can bring to the table.
Behind him they have John Clay... sort of reminds me of Bettis. Big, bruising runner.... would run through a brick wall just for fun. Great for the goal line and eating up clock.
Then they added some speed with Chris Rainey. Probably some punt/kick returns and wildcat plays..
IMO we'll be fine without Mendenhall. It's our D-line that scares me. Aaron Smith is not going to to be easy to replace. Did you see our pass rush against Tebow when Smith and Keisel went down late last year? It was non existent. Hope to hell Ziggy & Heyward are ready to step up this season. Both had pretty nice seasons filling in throughout last season but got absolutely shut down against Denver.
