they had the coaching, receivers and offensive gameplan that McGloin has available this year? I shudder to think, and am finally looking forward to some great QB talent joining the team that will have the benefit of everything O'Brien and company have to offer. I am not throwing McGloin under the bus, just pointing out the obvious that many oundits are missing!
I think Devlin would have been a superstar here. Not sure any of our other guys would have been that much better.
“We’re doing things we couldn’t imagine,” says safety Stephen Obeng-Agyapong. “But we’re doing them together.”
IMO, Mills would have been interesting in this system - the Mills as a frosh and sophomore. Devlin could have done alot.
Morelli would have failed miserably IMO.
Never will know as it was always take your child to work day for year after year.
I think guys like Devlin and Morelli would have played much better but I'm not sure guys like MRob would have gotten a chance since BOB would have wanted to play a more pro-style QB. As much as I think going with a pro-style QB is the better option. I loved watching MRob play in '05!
Dominate The State
Not a qb but one Guy who would have been a superstar in this offense is Andrew Quarless.
Rob Bolden would have been much, much better. I've never seen one player be affected by a coach to that extent. Literally made a very talented kid regress in extremes I didn't know were possible.
Devlin would have been good. I never watched Morrelli, but from what I've heard he may have been successful to the extent that McGloin has been. Because of the system and the open receivers, most any QB could be successful as long as they make the right decisions.

Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
I think Clark would have been great in this system. He played well despite the poor Qb coaching.

JMO, Morelli couldn't have grasped the play book.
Yes, Yes, Yes...great QB talent coming to PSU!
I don't necessarily disagree with you however with better coaching and a better game plan, someone like BOB may have been able to work around those deficiencies.
Mills and Devlin would have been great. Morelli would have been worse.
