Net gains (or losses) for Brown and Redd
Brown 2011 - 35/517/2
2012 - 47/649/4
Redd 2011 - 1241/7
2012 - 740/9
I think they will both look back with some regret. Not over the stats, but for that bond this team will have for the rest of their lives.
I feel like there reactions to PSU when brought up by reporters say it all. Especially Brown, I really hope he rewatches that game.......
And Redd can check the stats from a game against Wisconsin, 179 against wisky will boost a draft stock.
they know and i think they both would do it differently.
some guys run when adversity appears and some guys fight thru. those 2 chose to run. their choice
I don't think Brown would change.... His choice was not awful for him.... And Redd would have gone to another team... Look up bitch in the dictionary and you see his picture
PENN STATE FOREVER
Not going to bother to check Redd's stats but Brown ended up with 62/795/4. The stats you posted were prior to last nights game. He had 15 catches agains OK St. Brown ended up having a good year. Would have been interesting to see how he and ARob would have been together.
Lets face it: Brown, like most of us, doubted McGloin could get him the ball.
...and if you're not down with that, then I got 2 words for ya.."suck it!!"
Redd ended up with 817 and 9. But Redd still has the PAC-12 championship and BCS title game to play in...err wait, the rose bowl, oh oops I mean he still gets one more game in the sun bowl
BacardiBuckeye: "But in all honesty I like Penn State, I want to see Penn State do good that's why I check this board everyday." 4/2/14
In beautiful El Paso Texas:)
Maybe he can go see the donkey show in Juarez!
Emmett was sanctioned severely by me.... Those only happen in the Mark May casa or the Bob Costas ranch.
Honestly, I think zz is a better rb than redd. Redd has quicks, but he dances too much and loses yardage. Zz gained 1000 yds in basically 8 games.
And in 2 of those he spilt carries...
Not a chance. Zwinak is good but Redd is still better. This isnt even up for debate.
If people debate evolution, Zwinak vs Redd can be debated. They're both good. Neither is elite.
“We need to keep this (expletive) together,” Mauti and Zordich to Hill
I think Redd is an elite back. He's got it. Had he stayed at PSU... wow, his numbers would have been impressive.
At this point, he would have had his degree, he'd be looking at a VERY good draft position, and the admiration of all of the Penn Staters across the world.
What does he have now? Is that bowl trip worth it? Will USC remember him like PSU would have?
Consider this... PSU fans will remember McGloin and cherish what he did during the 2012 season. He will be CHERISHED. McGloin. Who will care or remember what Redd did? He will only be known as one of the guys who left. That is his legacy.
Just amazing to think about.
How's that "Business Decision" workin for you Silas?
October 12, 2013. PSU 43 - UM 40 (4 OT). Unfortunately this fan wasn't around long enough to see it!
Another looming bankruptcy
He is a solid all-around back who isn't great at anything, but good at everything. He has a fumbling problem and gets hurt every other time he gets hit. That's not elite.
Bump. Watching the SEC championship, there were three truly "elite" RB's in that game, all of whom are several notches above Redd.
