According to this article he did Sunday night.
LB Jonathan Walton of Mobile, AL decommitted from Penn State Sunday after after returning home from an official visit to Tennessee. He had committed to the Nittany Lions in early December after a vis
Based on the following quote...
"I feel indecisive. I'm just weighing them out right now. Penn State is still in the mix. I just want to make my choice and stick with it. I'll wait until Signing Day or after my last visit."
...it gives one the impression that his decision isn't made and that he's open to the field.
"One man didn't build this program and one man sure as hell cannot tear it down."
As opposed to the decision he already made that he isn't sticking to. I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I'll be happy when I hear he's officially pulled the plug on us. Bank it and make next year's tiny class a bit bigger with a kid who actually wants to be here.

Walton clearly falls into the 'southern recruiting' stereotype file. Foundations are built with concrete. We are learning that southern concrete takes longer to set.
I'm sure that BOB and staff considered him gone for at least a week now. I just want to know if they are going to go after another (realistic) LB prospect or if they will save the 'ship for next year.
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS

Collateral damage from Roof departure. Oh well. Maybe the new DB coach might bring a guy in.
he more or less decommitted long before roofs departure. Once he started talking about other official visits, that pretty much spelled "decommit."
Yeah, Roof is just an excuse. The kid wants to play in the SEC. I don't blame him, it just stinks when it comes in the 11th hour of recruiting and each spot means so much to us because of the sanctions.
I kinda like the Hoke philosophy of if a kid is looking other places pull his offer. Don't commit until your 100% sure that's where you want to go. Penn State should not be a "place holder" program.
Have said this for a while. PSU has all the sudden become a "safety school" or a "placeholder" program the last two or three years. The Jones kid that gave a "soft" verbal only to change to ND; Dom Easley; Walton certainly fits the bill as well. I'd pull the kid's offer. Then again, staff knows he is pretty much gone and has probably given up hope. Right now, PSU is running behind Tennessee and that is before Auburn and USCe visits.
I don't think you pull his offer, but you let the kid know that if he looks around, you consider his spot "open". If he ends all other visits, it's his again, but if not, we are going to treat you as an uncommitted prospect.

As long as it's not a kid we pushed for an early commitment from I say pull it. And by pushed I mean pushed a kid who had other options at the time. I don't think you can have it both ways, but if you didn't push for a commit and the guy committed and later wants to visit elsewhere, then it's a done deal imo.
He is an uncommitted prospect who has gone on the record stating that he wants to play in the SEC. I don't think PSU should recruit kids at this point that aren't 100% all in with PSU and the situation that they are in. Move on from him...pull it or not..just tell him we're sorry you felt the need to decommitt and we need to move on.
Well, when Walton had "difficulty" choosing between Penn State and Arkansas State, it was pretty easy to see this coming.
We should've gone with Benton over Walton to begin with. Fcking A.

If he's not commited now IMO he's not worth going to Mobile AL for. We can get a LB next that is equal or greater than Walton next year with out the hassle. Now Parker Cothren is worth fighting to the end for. He's a five star talent.
