This is about as sloppy as I've seen a Russ Rose-coached team play.
"On paper they have nothing to play for– no bowl games, rankings, or championships– yet they play like they have everything on the line."
You gonna stad by that statement still?
They look like they're drunk out there.

Can't believe we are to lose this bad. I know we got screwed in the second set, but we are playing terrible.
yes. They lost 2 close sets. We got swept in matches last year.
Wtf is going on? We look disgusting out there!
If we pull this set out, we cannot let them continue to jump out to huge early leads and gain momentum
Oregon is playing very well, but we couldn't be making it any easier for them.
Would have been a totally different match had that illegal set / touched net/ falling into net penalty was called on set point.. At least the whole starting squad comes back and we bring in the no 1 class yet again..

The announcer screwed up. We don't have anywhere near the #1 class coming in next year.
The 2014 class might be the best ever, though.
Can i get a score update guys? I'm currently in Afghanistan and can't get any stremming video or updates. Thanks

They were spent after game 2. Gave everything they had to battle back and then lose killed them. The passers in all likelihood tensed up trying too hard to make the perfect pass so Hancock didn't have to move much. Tough to overcome basically losing your setter in a match like this who adds a lot more than just setting (serving and defense). Props to her for giving it all she got out there. I have seen so many other players lay on the floor and cry forever, but she got up, taped up, and went back out.
What really hurt, which I was worried about all year, was taking Scott out of back row just limits the offense. Helps on D obviously, but gives us no offense at "D" ball and back row. All those championship years we had back row hitting working, whether Hodge or Brown or Fawcett.
We looked like Illinois football out there...
WE ARE! And we will always be...
lost in 4 sets.
21-25, 30-28, 25-22, 25-19
some you guys obviously don't watch much volleyball with your ridiculous exaggerations

We got three girls coming in. One is walkin on, but one was also named Gatorade player of the year!
But in 2014 we got 7 verbals already!
Well played sir. +1 to you. But I like any shot taken at Illinois Football

That is my name on their tops and no one can tell me any different!!!!
$hit.....thanks for the update though.
uhhh. It was a joke man. Lighten up.
yeah me too lol they are easy targets, and deserve everything they get.
Gatorade in PA only which is not a very good volleyballl state - I wouldn't expect her to be a big difference maker. The #1 girl in the country is going to Wisconsin. Nebraska has the #1 class.
yeah I get you were to a degree, but someone wasn't joking earlier and was trying to tell me this was the worst we have looked in years.
no problem. Stay out of trouble over there.
We really need to improve our backrow defense. We don't seem to be in the right positions and our serve receive is too inconsistent. Dom improved from last year and hopefully she will continue to improve next year to make our libero that much better. But beyond that, all our serve specilalist that Russ likes to sub in need to improve their defense. I don't recall much impact from Lacey, Kendall, etc. when they came in to serve and serve receive.
Props to Oregon. They definitely were the better team last night. I am actually pulling for them against Texas. Should be an interesting matchup of Oregon quickness againt the power OHs from Texas. I thought Destinee Hooker was unstoppable in 2009 but Texas now has two of her with Haley Eckerman and Bailey Webster...wow what athletes!
We should have a top class in 2014, if they all stick to their commitment. Next year will not be much impact from incoming freshmen, but we will get Paulina and Aiyana back from the sideline. We should have another shot again in the tourney next year, and I expect another B1G conference title.
Oregon played well in game four. PSU gave them game two - had opportunities to win even with the comeback and bad call against and gave them game three. Game four was caused by shitty serve receive.
In retrospect, I wonder if Rose is rethinking his position about pulling Micah and putting in Carpenter as setter in game four when it was 14-6. At that point, what do you have to lose? She couldn't move and wasn't an effective setter after her injury. Carpenter is two years removed from leading PSU to the title as the starting setter. How much practice does she get as setter? Who knows, but I'd imagine she gets some just in case.
That said, this team is loaded next year and should fight for the crown again. I'd like to see Micah tone down the all or nothing serve and pick her spots. Her floater last night when she couldn't jump had movement on it. It could keep people off balance if she picks her spots and she wouldn't have as many service errors.
