Apparently their BOT voted to do so in past day or two and their AD has told Kiffin to plan on 25 scholarships for this class.
A BOT with balls? What is this? lol
WE ARE! And we will always be...
Got to love USC. Playing the scorned victim for breaking NCAA rules - buying Bush and god knows who ever else along with the other antics. So, if they lose the suit, does this mean the NCAA can come back and say you don't get more than five recruits each year for two years?
I think this is what the OP was talking about...
NCAA trying to keep documents sealed
If they win the suit will it set enough precedent for our BOT to grow a pair?
Oh right BOT AND GROW A PAIR is the oxymoron of the century...they signed any leverage whatsoever away.

Our lawsuit supposedly drops next week... We shall see
I will literally throw a week long party if Mark Emmert loses his job over this.
This post is absolutely no good without a link!?!?!
October 12, 2013. PSU 43 - UM 40 (4 OT). Unfortunately this fan wasn't around long enough to see it!
Dan Patrick was saying this (the USC part....nothing about PSU).

I really think the NCAA's future is on very shaky ground, once the four 16 team super conferences are established I believe the next step will be establish their on governing body, hold their on championship and keep all the money.
“Never trust a government that doesn't trust its own citizens with guns.”
Can you define "our"?
Lubrano, Taliafero, 2 students, MRob, Arrington, plenty of other players from 98-2011
Thanks. That will be interesting to see what happens.
if this happens college football will become an amateur league. if you can't stop the cheating, might as well regulate it..
If we take it to the NCAA and just get the scholarship limit dropped I will be be ecstatic. Bowls don't matter to me at the moment, now maybe I wouldn't be saying this if I was O$U and I have an undefeated season.
I have one upvote left, and I am not afraid to use it!!!
The judge who ruled on this is a USC grad. I get its not legally a conflict of interest, but in practice, how is that not a conflict of interest?

sure as hell sounds like it!
The judge should have recused himself from hearing the case. Oftentimes though, they tell the lawyers about the conflict of interest, that it will have no bearing in their ability to hear the case, and ask the lawyers if they are okay with that judge hearing the case. If the lawyers agree than they can't cite it later on appeal.
"You have to perform at a consistently higher level than others. That's the mark of a true professional." JVP
The AG in the whole Sandusky/PSU case is a Pitt grad.. You just can't avoid these little conflict of interests.
UMMMMMM, the NCAA doesn't have to hide any documents in our case because they have none to hide. Remember they didn't do an investigation on PSU, they simply let the wonderful members of the BOT hand them their agreement of the Freeh Report.
It is such a joke. I would be the first to admit had the NCAA walked in and during their investigation found everything and everything that could be proven then they should have gotten the death penalty.
My favorite line of this whole thisng comes from Zeigler:
"The administrators at Penn State did not act like they had a four alarm fire on their hands because they were never told it was a four alarm fire."
I still want that B*&CH McQueary to come public with something. Anything.
It sure could clear a few things up if he would come out on the Costas show or be interviewed somewhere.
How do you know that the suit against the NCAA is coming next week (from PsU lettermen / fans)
That line from Ziegler is perfect and spot-on.
Frankly, and I could be wrong, I do not want to see anymore from MM. His story has changed so much...and he has no credibility. Who knows what story he will come out with next. He is going to be shredded, in my opinion, during the upcoming Curley/Shultz trial. That will be enough.
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy
