Prelims have been solid so far in this one. Few pretty dominant performers but all against game opponents so we didnt have 20 sec fights.
Suck It Emmert!! and "Sorry for not being sorry for being a Penn Stater" - Philafan
Thanks Bro, I missed an hour and half or so but I have FuelTV so that will probably be replayed all night lol.
The Yves Edwards finish was awesome. I love seeing the old vets come back and do well, especially against scumbags like Stephens.
One of my all time favs, old vet, has a fight tonight in the Prodigy.
He looked good at the weigh-ins. Pretty trim, and he's got that fire in his eyes. Haven't seen him with that look in a long, long time.
He was handled the last 2 mins of round one by McDonald there though. See if he can recover, if not, may not go past 2
BJ Penn is great but he needs to stop fighting these much bigger guys. He is just getting destroyed due to size.
“Never trust a government that doesn't trust its own citizens with guns.”
He hates cutting down to 155.
Gotta think this is it for him if he doesn't pull this one out.
He is been doing it for years. Love the heart, and him fighting much bigger guys is one of the reasons I like him. Back when he was younger, he handled it a bit better. But there is a reason for the weight classes and equalizing strength as much as they can.
It's the same with Fedor. Eventually these younger, bigger guys are going to be just as skilled as them, and that size advantage is going to be too much to overcome.
Nice to hear the crowd giving Rory the business. I hate showboating in the octagon if you're not going to finish the fight.
Dont like Rory much overall. Excellent talent, but that doesnt mean I have to like him ha
I don't remember him being this much of a tool.
If someone beats you on your home turf and you challenge them to a rematch, you offer to do it in their home town or you don't specify where. What gives MadDonald the right to get it in BC again? I hope Dana tells him to go pound sand.
If there are folks watching Rua/Gustafsson, Gustaffson is 14-1. His only loss is to the #1 Nittany Lion in the UFC, Phil Davis.
If Jon Jones gets past Sonnen, Gustafsson is going to get eaten alive against him.
If? I love Sonnen and all, but he will get manhandled.
