Thought you would enjoy bashing the NCAA of any kind...
Envy the past, Fear the future
I wish penn states president had the balls miami's president has. Gee, stick up for your school? WHAT A CONCEPT!
Strong statement from Shalala. That's what leaders do.
This makes me want to cry.
This is what ANY F*(_&ING leader would do in defense of their institution.
ANY OTHER LEADER in the entire f&(*)ing planet except Rodney Erickson.
Reading this makes me hate that man as a person more and more and seriously just not wish him well at times.
I mean F*(& man anyone with a half a testicle, 1/8th of a brain, and a full set of teeth is more competent than the NCAA and will win any battle over them if they show any assertion or shred of self-respect and self-defense. Props to Shalala and honestly, F**K Rod Erickson. I mean that with all of my heart.

It is easy to blame "The Rod", but he is not the only one responsible for signing the consent decree.
I hope all responsible come to justice.
F the NCAA
F the BOT
I hope the NCAA is gettin the message loud and clear that schools are gonna start pushing back and not just take their crap.
Think Erickson has a case of unjust practices as well. Threatening the death penalty without an investiagtion is rediculous.
42, Who else was responsible for signing the consent decree?
He's the only one who's signature is on the document. You can say others contributed to the decision, but the buck stopped at him.
I for one will never forgive Jerry Sandusky or Rodney Erickson for what they've done to my school.
Don't forget they gave Erickson a huge raise too, an additional $85,000 per year for the last two years of his career.
When Syracuse went under the spotlight, their President fought back, UM the same, Penn State...
"We want the warriors"
Torture to read but here you go
Inside the secret negotiations that brought Penn State football to the brink of extinction
Ole Limpy Rod is an ENEMY OF PA and should be taken out & arrested by the National Guard for crimes against our Mother state.
PENN STATE FOREVER
I should've stated that more clearly.
That was the desired outcome by those who pushed this mess towards the football program.
Erickson was just the hapless dolt who lacked the fortitude to do anything but what he was told.
OK, I thought maybe I missed something. Thanks.
Well the Board of Trustees could take a vote and say that they don't accept the Freeh Report, therefore saying that Rod Erickson did not have the authority to sign. They will never do that though because the people in "power" (Masser, Peetz, Surma, Frazier) don't give a damn about the school or the athletic programs.
Rod wouldn't act without Peetz, Surma, and Frazier. They pulled the strings.
Called the BoT earlier today before reading this. Glad I did. This Miami release served as a reminder of what we already know - our BoT executive committee is spineless.
I asked the receptionist today if Rodney Erickson, Karen Peetz and Ken Frazier have resigned. She, of course, said no. I asked her, "What are they waiting for?" Her response: I don't know how to answer that. I actually felt a bit bad as she obviously isn't the one I have beef with.
It's time to fight back my Penn St brothers, what the NCAA did to Penn St was criminal
Schools should definitely pursue due process and hold the NCAA accountable for improper gathering of information, coercion, extortion, etc. The NCAA has made it a common practice to follow "Do as I say, not as I do" with Emmert leading the charge. This guy is a clown of epic proportions and is a complete hypocrite. He is quick to play the "I didn't know that" card while throwing others to the wolves. Something needs to change ASAP!!
I honestly hope nothing else happens to you guys. I don't know how anyone can take any further punishment from the NCAA seriously in this case. What a complete sham of an investigation. Time served for the two self imposed bowl bans and that's it.
And Emmert needs to lose his job.

The best part is that even if the NCAA says that Miami has paid their price, there are talks that the University has their lawyers ready to sue the crap out of the NCAA still. I love it. Back them into a corner and put pressure on Emmert to resign. Can't believe this investigation has taken almost 3 years. Ridiculous.
Lebron and Dwayne Wade at the Canes basketball game
This. Blaming Erickson's is missing the point. He did as he was told
Good for them. The NCAA has become an embarrassment.
Awesome, an administrator striving for the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. However, the brick wall, that is the NCAA, will never succumb to the truth...subpoena there ass and put the pressure on them, then maybe the truth will emerge.
Eventually Emmert will pay the price for his draconian methods.

How do we get Rod, Peetz, Surma & Frazier to resign? (Serious question). They have done wayy too much damage to the school.
And that c*nt of a character, d!ck Emmert. I wish bad things on him everyday. For example, today, i wish he slips and falls flat on his face!
Well, if you want to put on a tin foil hat, I think changes were made behind the scenes. Peetz is no longer chairwoman, Surma isn't running next term, and Rod is definitely out next year. They just better hope they don't get sued for breaking their fiduciary responsibility to Penn State.
No "investigation" () should take more than 6 months. They really need to put a cap on these things. 3 years is complete BS.
