Haven't been this pumped/anxious about a PSU related event in a while.
May I ask what you think will happen?
PENN STATE FOREVER
Honestly, I think you're gonna be disappointed. They will analyze the document and I will be interested in what they have to say but I doubt it does much to change public opinion unless they are able to point out some major flaw in the Freeh Report.
Dominate The State
I have no clue what will happen. Kind of like gameday. How good is our offense?
I don't have high expectations. But when was the last time anyone here wrote 180 pages? That's not trivial. I have written countless academic papers full of information. But not 180 pages. Assuming the arguments are modestly succinct, that's a lot of narrative. It will be an interesting read.
Did they interview Joe? MM? Spanier? TC? GS? JS? Freeh? The victims? Do that and give me their testimony and OK I will draw my own conclusions.
It will be a lot of opinion and a positive version for Joe......
Likely not and I understand your point. But it will be interesting if they interviewed countless others at PSU who were forced to speak to Freeh and were coerced or ignored.
We knew the conclusion before each piece came out... I am sure a few small things....
BoT: Joe was guilty
Paterno: Joe is not guilty
Still unless there is a taped convo of MM and Joe.... I am not sure how you can say he should not have been fired... He was not enabling a pedophile... he just missed.... Like a lot of other folks.
At a minimum, it should destroy the notion of a collusive effort to cover up. No one can get away from a notion of negligence here. But that is the nature of a pedophile. Lots of clarity afterwards but denial and missing clues in real time.
I kinda feel like I am going to be disappointed. I hope they knock this thing out of the Park, im just not sure how they can do it.

Or Christmas Eve...
WE ARE! And we will always be...
Look folks, here is why this thing is gonna rock. The paterno family is not dumb. They are going to go on national tv if all they have is he said-she saidtype of stuff. They especially wouldn,t put sue pa in a national interview if they didnt have solid drop shit vidence that proves they are right. Suepa also wouldnt have sent the letter to all the letterman had their findings been arbitrary.
Sorry for the typos but this app when used on an android doesnt turn when i open the keyboard.
I'm excited for tomorrow's wrestling match too.
Huh? Is that TIC? Because I'm not sure how anyone can say he SHOULD have been fired (for something relating to this Sandusky issue).
Exactly. For them, things have quieted down the past few months. They could have just gone quietly. But to speak up now, tells me they have some very valid info to pass along. I don't see them doing this just to say, "and in 1986...Joe gave $10 to charity"
As a outsider... Is Sue going to explain why Joe didnt do anything else besides tell his superiors after what was told to him by MM? No flame but that will be the details I'm waiting to see if that conflicts with the freeh support and this could change the outlook for PSU as far as the lawsuit/NCAA.
I know Joe technically did what was right by telling his superiors but I always struggled to understand how Joe nor anyone followed up on the matter to ensure the police was called and how Sandusky was continuously allowed to be on campus with his "guest." I know their was a investigation done in the late 90's where the police failed to snatch Sandusky up but I struggle to see how Joe would let this man around for all those years after he heard what happened in those showers.
There is also the part where the President said he was going to call the cops but decided not to after speaking with Joe. I really hope Sue address that because that was pretty damaging.

"Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy."
This interpretation of what was said is devoid of fact and full of conjecture.
1. It was the AD, not the President.
2. It is not known exactly why Curley (the AD) phrased it in that way, nor do we know what it was that Joe said to him.
The biggest problem with the entire scenario is that the mass opinion is based off of the assumption that McQueary told Joe that a child was sexually molested by Sandusky. There is contradictory evidence of this, and in fact, there are rumblings that McQueary's testimony (and subsequently Joe's) was retrospectively enhanced by McQueary in order to build the state's case against Sandusky.
Finally, it bears repeating that Sandusky was acquitted of the sexual assault charge involving this victim. Even the jury didn't find McQueary's testimony was enough to convict on that count. Not surprising that Sandusky was convicted on the other counts considering the multitude of charges against him. However, McQueary was the only person to testify in regards to this victim, as the victim was never identified by the state.

Joe testified MM told him it was something sexual...... He dug that hole himself.
That depends, to your first statement
You assume what MM told Paterno was the same thing he told the grand jury. I think if you look at Paternos record over time you can see he was a high character individual who gave significant effort to do things morally and procedurally right. No one knew the seriousness of this. Is that a failure of leadership? absolutely! Do I think it was reason of neglect or looking the other way? NO.
On your second part your facts are off. If you want to have a true conversation on our board please get them straight. Otherwise it looks like the rest of what the media did to PSU by passing along inaccurate statements as factual.
i believe the quote was "something sexual in nature" from his Grand Jury testimony
