So I was pretty bored and I started watching videos on youtube and got the idea for this throwback thread. Basically the entire thread will be videos/discussions of previous games. I figure it can be an ongoing thing that could work for your football fix through the offseason.
I'll get the thread started by adding two videos. The first is the 1997 Fiesta Bowl game in which PSU crushed Texas 38-15. The second video is PSU vs. Notre Dame from 1991 at Beaver Stadium. Enjoy!
1997 Fiesta Bowl Highlights - featuring the 20th-ranked Big 12 Champion Texas Longhornes against the 7th-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions.
Here is the second video:
http://www.linebacker-u.com - No. 12 Notre Dame took on No. 8 Penn State in a late-season showdown in Happy Valley.
Here's another video. I realize it's 1:50 AM so there's not many people on here. I'm going to try to keep this at the top for the morning.
1994 PSU vs. Michigan State
In front of a sellout crowd of 96,000+ on a freezing Thanksgiving weekend, the 1994 Penn State Nittany Lions cemented their legacy as Joe Paterno's fifth undefeated, untied, team with a 59-31 pasting of Michigan State and their lame duck head coach George Perles. Ki-Jana Carter led the way for PSU's juggernaut offense with 5 TD's and over 200 yards rushing.
Can't say the game was good on the field, but an unforgettable moment nonetheless.
A year after being paralyzed at the Penn State vs. Ohio State game in Columbus, Adam Taliaferro walks out of the Beaver Stadium tunnel.
Like the crisp comments strewn throughout..Good stuff..+1
Curtis enis. My opinion, the best college rb I've ever seen. Just a beast.
Didn't we have a video thread at one point? I couldn't find it, but I also didn't look real hard.
Anyway, always one of my favorites.
A tribute to the career of Derrick Williams at Penn State. THANK YOU D-WILL!
I know there's people out there that consider him a "bust," but DWill is one of my favorite players of all time. What I wouldn't give to have a dynamic, versatile player like him again. He was a threat at QB, RB, WR, and special teams! Still remember how pumped everyone was when he committed to PSU.
lol, "Says he wants to coach for 5 more years." Oh how I miss that commentary sometimes.
"Whoever’s trying to kill me isn’t getting the job done. But one day, I’m going to punch that f___r in the face."
I wouldve loved to see players like D-Will play under O'Brien and Fitz.
The best game of my college years...Enis at his best
Dont know why no sound... But PSU beatinf FL St... Awesome
Recap of the thrilling triple overtime 2006 Orange Bowl between Penn St. and Florida St. Video made as a tribute to the hardwork and dedication of the PSU football program.
WE ARE! And we will always be...

Whooping NDs ass at home. I had Austin Scott's family tix for this one. We broke one of the attendance records that day
A Beaver Stadium whiteout crowd and the 14th-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions welcomed the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and true-freshman quarterback Jimmy Clausen, who was making the first start of his collegiate career.
Notre Dame struck first on a 73-yard interception return by cornerback Darrin Walls (3:04-mark), silencing the 110,078 who comprised of the second-largest crowd in Beaver Stadium history. Penn State wide receiver Derrick Williams tied the game at 7-7 on an electrifying 78-yard punt return (5:43-mark), and a 10-yard Anthony Morelli-to-Jordan Norwood touchdown pass (7:50-mark) gave the Nittany Lions a 14-7 halftime lead. The second half began with a 68-yard A.J. Wallace kick return (8:44-mark) that led to a Kevin Kelly field goal. While the Penn State defense continued to stifle Notre Dame's offense (6 sacks, 144 yards of total offense), the Irish received their best scoring opportunity when Tom Zbikowski return a punt 47 yards to the Penn State 7-yard line (9:27-mark), but ultimately had to settle for a field goal to cut the lead to 17-10. Anthony Morelli responded with a 51-yard laser Chris Bell (10:17-mark) which set up a 1-yard Austin Scott touchdown. After All-American linebacker Dan Connor (12 tackles, 2.5 TFL) continued to dominate (11:27-mark), Penn State continued to wear down the Irish defense behind the strong running of Austin Scott (28 carries, 116 yards, 2 touchdowns), whose second touchdown opened up the final 31-10 margin (12:39-mark).
Jimmy Clausen - who did display remarkable poise for an 18-year old freshman in such a hostile environment - finished the game 17 of 32, for 144 yards with 1 interception, and was sacked 6 times.

Lavar Leap... Never gets old to me
Penn State linebacker LaVar Arrington dives over the Illinois offensive line on 4th and 1.
It is impossible to remember how good he was. this is one half of one season!!!
LOVE lavar... hes the type of player we havent had since the 90s... He flat dominated games.
"Dan Morgan said Miami's LBs are every good as Penn State's... To which Lavar Arrington asked... Who's Dan Morgan?" LOL LOL LOL
he helped us recruit that class...
Success without honor is an unseasoned dish; it will satisfy your hunger, but it won't taste good.

By far the best pump up video
Get amped up for the 2009 season with our latest pump up video and head over to http://www.bluewhitepodcast.wordpress.com for more coverage of the Nittany Lions. Follow us on Twitter: @BlueWhiteFB
How would you have liked to be a defense going against Ricky Williams/Priest Holmes or Curtis Enis/Aaron Harris ... that would suck.
Chafie Fields, Brandon Short, Joe Jurevicius, Kim Herring, and of course Joe Pa at the end.
I wonder if we passed the ball more than 8 times that game.
If winning was easy even losers would do it.
"Jackie Sherral can't find Joe Paterno" - lol...Nice Pitt field!
I love that we had students run out onto the field....in an away game...while the game was still going on
