Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
PENN STATE FOREVER
My season tix are in section NK. I just graduated in 2009 and still have that "loud" mentality, especially when theirs missed calls and or on 3rd/4th downs on defense. I frequently stood up and got our entire section fired up and cheering loud on 3rd down. I just don't think it should be left up to just the students to do that, especially if the opposition's offense is in the northern endzone away from the students. Call me crazy or whatever but the folks in my section seemed receptive to the idea and they were as energized as I was. Hopefully it stays that way.

I told my dad that the student section seemed loud and they were a lot louder down on the field. The students brought it and were in it all game. I wish we would have sat in the "E" section somewhere since there were empty seats over there...especially since my dad has knee problems. We probably could have sat over there and not been bothered by the ushers...but, I am honest and stayed where my tickets were for.
Next game for me, unless I get home again, is the Harvard v. Yale game on Nov 17th...oldest CFB rivalry, can't wait! Should be cold, hopefully the kiddo can handle it.

To be honest, I thought we were rocking it from the student section the whole game. I wouldn't have known the crowd wasn't in it if I hadn't read about it here. If it was more dead than usual, it must have been on the alumni end because I felt like we (students) held up pretty good considering how bleak things became late. Not trying to start another one of those "alumni sitting the whole game vs. students showing up late everytime" debates, but I think we really need to figure out a way to keep the alumni engaged and fired up throughout the whole game.
