“If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.” ― Haruki Murakami
I'm a non-student/alumni. Can anyone briefly explain what happens at the bjc? People stay there and dances for 2 days? On twitter I see things about people waiting to get in. So I'm assuming people come and go but certain people stay and dance the whole time.

That's the gist of it. The ones who come and go are there to cheer on and support the dancers who stand for all 46 hours.
Wow that is impressive. Great job to our fellow board members dancing!
Few questions: how many dancers? How are they picked? What's with the different colors?
Each org depending on how much money they raise has a chance to earn dancers.
Example: my org has 2 dancers this year. We picked them based on who we felt is most deserving and wants to do it.
Cool. Thanks for the info
Made the worst decision ever. After the Pep Rally, I decided to head out for two hours figuring I would be back at 2 AM. I set my alarm to take a power nap, my iPhone decides for some reason not to go off! There is no way I am seeing the final four hours now...
It will bother me, but all the hard work throughout the year makes up for it. FTK!
I have one upvote left, and I am not afraid to use it!!!
If you haven't seen "The Story of THON", I highly recommend taking the hour to watch it. You will get the full scope of what goes into this event and how the student body gets involved throughout the whole year. I can't link it because I'm travelling and on my cell phone, but if you go to the thread entitled 10:00 on BTN: "Why We Dance: The Story of THON", you'll find the link that shavi posted. You can't come away from watching that without a greater appreciation for the effort from all the students.
A few days ago I made a Facebook post stating my wife and I would donate .50 for every "Like" my status got. In total, I ended up getting 137 likes for $68.50. We ended up doubling that total and donated $137 to THON. All for the fight, for the families, for the kids!

BOB much more comfortable on stage than he was last year
BOB tearing it up on the stage this year at THON with one powerful message...
"I was here a year ago, and I was a rookie, and I didn’t know too much about it [THON]. I took the last year, and I thought a lot about it because I knew I’d be back. I read about THON. I have to first say the families and most importantly the children are a tremendous inspiration to us as Penn State. I also read about Charles and Irma Millard. To me, that is what Penn State is all about. Courage, honesty, wisdom, and strength. If there is one thing I learned in the last year, that is what we as a student body and a university are all about. People thank me all the time, but I thank them because to me this is the greatest university in the country, in the world, because of days like today."
Bill O'Brien wowed everyone one year ago at THON 2012 and came back for an encore performance today that was even more epic.
Another cool picture of BOB speaking at THON from Penn State football's twitter feed.
SIAP, but just getting home from weekend trip with the girlfriend for Valentine's Day. Any place to watch it online or a Directv channel that might have it in Ohio?? Probably not but was hoping it might be streamed somewhere. I saw updates on GOPSUSPORTS but wanted to watch the final tally revealed.
Keep it up e, and anyone else dancing. FTK!!!!
That is my name on their tops and no one can tell me any different!!!!
