For those of you not following the twitter thread, the local senior has committed to run on at Penn State. As you can see by his profile, he's no stranger to the program.

What type of offers did he have?

I absolutely LOVE how in his time-line update it says he committed to "run-on" instead of just "walk-on."
I know one of his relatives. Apparently he and his family are die-hard PSU fans. I heard he had some concussion issues in the past. I believe his sister also attends PSU and is on the baton squad (if thats what you call it).
I love how under college choices, it just says penn state, even if u click see all college choices.
this is where I would usually welcome him to the family, but it seems he's already a part of it.
Possibly a stupid question but what (if any) is the difference between a walk on and a run on?
The same thing, just BOB has termed it run ons now.
I've heard rumors that Scales is leaning toward walking on here as well. That would really make me happy. Seeing as we don't really have anyone with his skill set, he would probably earn some early playing time. He's a very hard worker as well.
Give the Iron Lion some time with him in the weight room and you never know!!
Right, a kid like this just doesn't have the size in HS to garner D-1 offers. But if he's a decent athlete, a year or two on the team meal plan and in the weight room and he could end up at 295--and it'd be mostly all good weight--as opposed to some kids who come in at 320 and 40lbs of it are junk weight and they just aren't strong enough for being that size.
I'm not saying he'll ever see the field, I'm just saying as a run-on, that doesn't matter and you never know how 17 year olds will continue to grow and develop.
