The story of a Penn Stater who got a job at Disney World and people from all fan bases confronting her based on her name tag that reads, "Katie, State College, PA".
"DOMINATE the state" - James Franklin 1/11/14
Good stuff. I personally have only had positive experiences when in public wearing my PSU t-shirts.
Nice, thanks for posting...
Nothing like starting the day with something positive for the soul....thanks!
That's awesome. I worked at Disney for 4 years after graduation. Awesome place to work. Most of us only had our names on the nametags back then. I love stories like this.
An excellent read
Suck It Emmert!! and "Sorry for not being sorry for being a Penn Stater" - Philafan
I wear my gear all the time. Especially when I go on trips to show I am still proud of PSU.
Try driving around in my "Penn State" vehicle. I get flipped off all the time while driving down the road. I have decided NOT to take it to aways games out of fear what might happen to it while i'm in the game.
People do that on the road because they're pussies and can simply drive away.
I wear my PSU clothes around all the time and no one says shit to me outside of older people giving me compliments about my school.
The loudest ones over the Internet and in the confines of their cars are the quietest ones face to face. All talk and nothing else. If they were more than just talk, their lives would have more meaning and be too important to waste time being hateful over the Internet.

fwiw, i saw more PSU merch at Ocean City than any other school the other weekend..
Wear my Penn State hat every single day while walking to work in D.C. I never get any negative comments. The day after we recieved the sanctions (mind you I was extremely saddend and didn't want to talk to anyone) a man wearing a PSU t-shirt shouted "Hey... a fellow Penn Stater! Stay strong brother!" and I suddenly got a big smile and shouted back with the usual "WE ARE!" to which he replied "STILL PROUD!" Man, I needed to hear that on that day.
I will never be ashamed of our so-called "culture". Anyone who says otherwise can kiss my blue and white @$$!
We Are... Pissed Off
Really? I got a downvote? Why? Because I'm not ashamed of the Penn state culture? The culture of Thon, lift for life, special Olympics, millions of donations to RAINN, and a world class educatIon. Yes, I'm damn proud of my school. Deal with it.
Maybe people were trying to passively aggressively tell you that you should go to a doctor to get your ass checked out. It's strange that yours is blue and white...
Got you with an upvote though to balance it out.
Haha nice! Yes I guess it is strange lol
psn - just hit you with an upvote and saw you had +7.. Was that a ploy to get a bunch of upvotes??..Good move!
That's the thing. There always are these sorts of balancing things in life. People see some injustice, and people who otherwise would not necessarily support PSU, decide they will. In saying this I am in no way minimizing the terrible things that happened here. But as most fair people know, evil can happen anywhere and it does not necessarily involve all 500000 living alumni..
Shh... don't tell anyone ;-)
And I love wearing my PSU t-shirts here in Austin, Texas. The best part is encountering other Penn Staters and sensing our mutual commitment to the restoration of Penn State's traditional strengths. As tough as this period has been, I'm convinced that great days are ahead for the university, for the athletic department and for the Happy Valley community!
I wear PSU shirts all the time and have had a few negative responses, but I always go right back at them. Sandusky has been proven guilty of his crimes and will die in prison. If others at Penn State are proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law then so be it. Until then people in the media and the hierarchy of PSU should just shut the fuck up. We get it Sandusky was sick and children were abused. The state, the police, the Second Mile, child adoption services, CYS, DPW, the absentee parents and tons of others should've stopped this. So destroy Penn State to make everyone feel better about the failures of the system and more importantly the failures of those throwing stones that happenned on their watch. a tidbit: ESPN has audio evidence on tape that "a resonable person would conclude" is about child abuse. However, instead of reporting to their superiors or involving the police of jurisdiction like Joe Paterno did, they deside to hide the evidence from authorities.
Hey, Emmert Federal authorities wake up.
Watch Criminal Minds and find out just how much these psychos decieve people.
