If JW doesn't stick how about Matt Galambos out of Haverford. I thought his film looked pretty good. Just a thought
I believe he's currently committed to Pitt. But, yes, I think they should start thinking about a plan B should JW leaves also.
How about Chris Britton out of Harrisburg? Good size, good-looking athlete, still learning the LB position. I know we were showing him some interest previously.
Jake Plonski from Erie I think would be good option. I think he's a possible walk on but has a scholly from Robert Morris.
disagree, would rather save a scholarship than just offer somebody to offer somebody...he may end up being another Brennan Franklin - somebody who has no business D1. We need to be selective with our 65 limit.

that would be great, would love to see the list of who we get to be a "run-on" when its all said and done.
What is the point to "bank" scholarships if your driving number is really going to be the 65 and not limiting the classes to 65. It would only really come into play is if we had a lot of kids leave between now and the start of the season, no? It also seems that you would need a commitment pretty early on from anyone who was going ot enroll early so that they could get their HS stuff in order.
Well most kids who plan to EE have gotten their things in line before their SO year in HS. Banking would allow us to expand the class size for next year from our current 8 that we have now. We aren't hitting the 15 annual next year as we stand. So it could be used for an EE (hopefully) or just regularly. We're in a tight spot next year with only 9 (now with JW decommit) open and one already taken.
How can we expand the class if you have to be at 65. If we have 57 and need to get to 65...there is your 8....if we have 55 and need to get 65..you have 10... the place where you run into issues if you are at 48 and need to get to 65.
It is not next year that the EE's help, it is down the road if we can keep taking EE's then the theory is that if we do use the full 15 down the road but are under 65 then we will have some EE spots we can use from the previous yr then we have them. If we have any attrition in 2015 then we would likely reach 65 and 15. We would already be expected to take 15 and be at 65 in 2016 so at that point having some EE spots to count against 2015 to keep us at 65 in 2016 would be required. May not be required but doesn't hurt.
The bigger issue in my mind is trying to keep the classes somewhat balanced going forward. Not taking a reach this year and having more to give out next year gives the staff some flexibility if they want someone that isn't a position of need and keeps the class numbers a little more balanced looking towards when that class graduates.
Would love to get him as a walk on but don't think he is a guy we should offer.
