Puts him in the top half.. Gotta credit fitz
Considering that Stank's biggest knock in the past was his upper body strength, 27 is pretty good. It's certainly good enough for teams not to be concerned.
The bench press is a useless measure. Especially for lineman.
But it is the set measure the Combine uses to compare strength for lineman. While I agree it's a worthless measure of overall strength it is what it is.

It is a "red flag" test. High values don't make you a good football player, but low ones send up huge warning signs about conditioning. In that sense, the test has some value for a combine comparison.
His arms were just 32" I believe(which were the 3rd shortest of all the offensive linemen). For a guy with a big chest, and just 32" arms, I would have expected at least 30.
Some of those OTs with the long arms are the ones who struggle a bit. Trent Williams had 35" arms and was only able to get like 23 reps.
If he shows well in on-field drills today, he could be a 6th or 7th round pick. He does have the versatility I believe to play C or G.
