For those not reading the Paul Jones thread.
Paul Jones @C1nd3rellaMan
Just want to say thanks for all the great coaches that I learned from at Penn Stare past and present.
Paul Jones @C1nd3rellaMan
I’ll be going to school at Robert Morris University and will be playing football there.
I wish him luck. Hopefully he gets things figured out.
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
Good luck to him.
Is robert morris division 1?

If winning was easy even losers would do it.
I thought Tiger Joe Walton was retiring as HC at the end of the year. Do they have a replacement?
Not a bad program. I hope he does alright too. He's a local kid who obviously struggled with the academic side of things. Maybe being close to home, someone will reel him in and he can succeed in both school and football.
PJ another victim of the Bob L hype machine. He overhypes western pa kids and sure appears pj was another one. Why not just get your degree from psu.
Because he wants to play football.
But he was tearing up the IM league with Royer
Not necessarily. He was well ranked on Rivals as well. His JR HS film was decent, then he got hurt and had a lackluster SR season. IMO, He's another 'what if' guy in regards to had he received proper coaching from Day 1 in college. His physical tools were a great foundation to build upon.
I often wonder about the hype of these kids coming in to the NCAA. In the Big 10 what were the star levels of all the starters when they grad high school. I am sure Braxton was five star but really wonder about the rest. Marve was also a big number before he went the The U.
What about the Top 5 in the country: KSU, Orgeon, ND, Bama, Georgia?
Oregon, ND, Bama, and Georgia have all had extremely highly rated recruiting classes the past four or five years.
The one outlier is KSU, who has mostly JUCO kids who are their impact players.
2010 class) 10 JUCO signees out of 27 (including current PSU JUCO recruit Billy Cosh) signed. Only two of those signees had a ranking by 247, and both were graded out at 70 and given 2*.
2011 class) 8 JUCO signees out of 25 signed. Their current backup QB Daniel Sams, who may be a stud in his own right, was part of this class. Meshak Williams is a beast at DE, and he was a JUCO recruit in this class. Class is almost all 3* kids, with a few high 3* guys (JUCOs).
2012 class) 7 JUCO signees out of 19 signed.
So in summary, they love JUCO kids, and the majority of their difference makers are JUCO kids. That KSU kid that returned the kick for a TD last week against OkieState was a HS recruit, and so is their backup QB who is supposed to be pretty good, but this team is built off of JUCO guys.
On a side note, Bill Snyder loves Navarro College, Blinn College, and Trinity Valley C.C., all in Texas. I didn't realize how many of the kids on that roster played their HS or JUCO ball in Texas. The only JUCO from Kansas I can see he recruited heavily is Hutchinson C.C., who has a good reputation as far as JUCOs go.
Best of luck to PJ there. IMO if he wanted to play QB that is the type of school he had to go to. Hopefully the game slows down for him and he wins some games there.
"One man didn't build this program and one man sure as hell cannot tear it down."
And thus closes one of the longest and saddest stories of unrealized potential at PSU. PJ had talent but whether it was grades, coaching or the playbook he just couldn't seem to do what was needed to grab the starting job. Hopefully he can play well at Robert Morris. I'm just happy we won't have to talk so much about a kid that accomplished so little.
Dominate The State
Robert Morris is 4-6 this year with losses to Wagner, Bryant, St. Francis, Dayton, Albany, and ND State. Mu guess is that he will get playing time at QB. Probably a good move.
So what happens with his scholly now? Do we get another? I'm not sure how any of this works..
Hmmm...Looks like RMU might be a perfect fit for PJ.
I bet they don't offer a program in English grammar.
Just what is "the Pittsburgh"? And if I were to "information" just what activity would I be performing?

October 12, 2013. PSU 43 - UM 40 (4 OT). Unfortunately this fan wasn't around long enough to see it!
I figured as much but I was sepcifically talking about QB in my question. I need to reread my question because maybe I misrepresented what I was looking for.
Basically what star level are: Point is 5 star at the QB Level is sometimes a littel overrated when it is compared to winning ball games.
Klien 3 star
Aaron Murray 4 star
Golson 3 star
0-3 on Bolden, Jones and Newsome, definitely didnt see that coming.
BacardiBuckeye: "But in all honesty I like Penn State, I want to see Penn State do good that's why I check this board everyday." 4/2/14
He'd have to actually pass his classes to do that.
This whole discussion made me ask myself, what ever happened to Pat Devlin? Not a starter yet, but beats a desk job. http://www.nfl.com/player/patdevlin/2530762/profile
Hope everything works out for PJ, good luck.
Throw in Devlin and arguably Morelli and we have missed a whole lot the past decade with QB recruits/QB coaching.
Former 5 star Arthur brown transferred in from Miami ... Also somewhat important to note that Bruce brown transferred in and Daniel Thomas I believe was a Juco or transfer.
Bryce Brown, Langer. And Thomas was a JUCO.
PJ just shooting for the Moon and will land amongst the stars
