Rutgers fans are shockingly football-illiterate. They just don't understand the game or how recruiting works.
So the last guy thinks Zayd Issah was supposed to play RB.
Thanks, that was well worth the read. lmao. +1
The best part about some of these barometers (this seems to be a consistent theme for Rutgers) is that they thought they were #2 behind Penn State for Godwin, yet nothing I've read puts Godwin anywhere near Rutgers.
Also, have to laugh at the guy who talks about giving up a redshirt year. Maybe it's better for development, but it is very rare to see a kid WANT to redshirt. Most want to play early. I'd wager that most of those Rutgers fans hope their school is selling the same thing to kids - early playing time.
Is the man, the myth, the legend still around. You may know him as RutgersAl...
I have one upvote left, and I am not afraid to use it!!!
parent of a former RU player sounds reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally intelligent with those comments. These fans absolutely have no clue what they're talking about and its hilarious
Wow. Their delusions are outweighed only by how delicious their tears are. I have seen as many Rutgers football games from their sideline as I have on TV...and that number is 1 each.
"PSU a 3 to 4 win team" - New-era, September 2012
This post is by far my favorite and actually pretty funny:
-"Its clear that the only thing that will dissuade players from going to State Penn is if all females, beer, cars, hamburgers, pizza, wings, music, dancing, internet access, ipods, and computers are banned AND if Godzilla takes a massive dump on the 50 yd line at Beaver Stadium AND if it rains 180 days each year AND the other 185 are blizzard like conditions AND the sticky buns become cyanide laced AND if Hitler himself is reincarnated and appointed school president. I fracking do NOT get it."
You're one of them now.
STOP IT! I will never be 'one of them'!
The funny part is during my admissions interview they asserted that, "Penn State throws lots of scholarship money at prospective students, they buy their classes there." Sour grapes and jealousy are not limited to sports I suppose...

oh if anyone wants another laugh, take a look at this RU "recruiting letter" that a target posted

I love this attitude from pitt and ru people. They can't understand that their programs are sub par. Who would want to play there? That's the real question. Here's a news flash. Empty stadiums aren't fun to play in.
That is some funny sh**. Thanks for compiling them
Rutgers fans are truly delusional. Still not as bad as Pitt though.
Hilarious stuff right there
They honestly thought this was the death of PSU football and their programs would flouish because of it.
Truth is that Godwins class misses two bowl games and that's it. Only gets easier as time goes on for PSU.
Going to sleep with the lights on, tonight.
Why on earth is their a Rutgers barometer for Godwin. He didn't really consider Rutgers at all. Time for them to have a reality check.
"Something smells like a fish"...... Nice try idiot
Maryland, Temple, of all places, and every other program in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast thought the same thing. But, there is only one major program in the region.
