Just wanted to make everyone aware that there is construction going on at the twin bridges between the Yeagertown and Reedsville exits. All traffic is reduced to one lane in both directions. Probably gonna create quite a mess Saturday morning for those of you going to the game. Might want to leave earlier than planned, or find alternate route.
Good looking out MommaLion. I also have a 322/Harrisburg-related traffic question - what times should I avoid traveling through Harrisburg en route to PSU from Philadelphia on Friday morning?
I planned on leaving Phila around 6 am which should put me in Harrisburg around 7:30/7:45 - will I hit a ton of traffic between 83 & 81 around that time? Anyone familiar with the traffic patterns of 76W/rt83/rt81 on a Friday morning?
Also - and I apologize for breaking the rules here Sean - still looking for 4 tickets to the game if anyone is trying to sell. Thanks a lot team.
Pretty sure the University still has a bunch of tickets for sale..call the ticket office.
To avoid the construction, you can get off 322 and head north, catch the "old 322" that parallels 322 and get back on after construction zone

I meant to post about this...we drove up last Friday to move our daughter in and I was surprised by the construction. I meant to ask if there was a way around it. Checking out the map now. The question is how far back will the backup go, I guess. It may take a while just to get to that exit to get off.
Also, we came back via 80, and there is a bunch of construction right at the ramp onto 80 from 99.
Any idea what traffic will be like on Friday afternoon? I am planning on leaving Phoenixville around 3pm and hope to make it in time for the pep rally.
Hopefully smooth sailing.....I'm leaving King of P by 1 or 2 at the latest.
leaving Delaware at 5:30. Probably will run north Rt 15 to 192 now.
Folks going out friday night, please post (or text me...will get you that info in a PM) how the trip was etc.
Coming from DuBois, 322 east should be good...well, coming from Hanscom AFB, MA tomorrow and staying at my grandma's house....son, dad, me and bro-in-law and 3 sons are making it a family affair. Can't wait to get there...the anticipation is killing me!

Sounds like quite the party for you on Saturday, chez. Enjoy! I almost laughed when I saw Dubois, as I grew up in the pathetic town of Clearfied, but live in Pittsburgh now.
Leaving Doylestown on Friday morning> We are going to head up the NE extension to 80 and right in the bypass to our destination
Anybody in that area able to confirm/refute that the construction is definitely still ongoing and will continue through Saturday?
I live in Lewistown. This construction will probably be going on throughout football season. If anyone is interested, a lot of locals go to the games on Rt 305 out of Belleville, "very little" to "no traffic" for games! Leads you right over to route 26.
I used to cruise Clearfield with my buddies from 1993 or so until 1996.
So for those of us who are heading out via Harrisburg and 322...how much extra time do we need to allot?
I'm leaving Delaware between 5 and 530 Saturday morning, and probably will hit Harrisburg by 6:45 or so. On a good day, State College, is what? 90 minutes from H-burg?
I was hoping to get out to PSU by 8:30-9:00 to get my tailgate on!
I would give myself an extra hour. I always estimate myself a little extra time for those things you can't predict, but I am always early for everything! lol Locals are being delayed 5-8 mins. for this construction on a normal day, but on game days, it gets crazy.
Another way to PSU is, take 11 & 15 to route 104, follow 104 to 45. 45 takes you right past State College Elks the entrance to 322 is right there a little down the road. Nice trip 2 lanes thou, at the flashing red light stop on 104, to the right is a neat little 50's dinner good food. This way maybe 15 to 20 minutes longer but you won't sit in traffic.
Where are you at in DE? I was stationed at Dover from 1998-2004...loved that place!
My family has a cabin off of 104 near Mifflinburg so I'll be heading up there Friday night and leave out around 7AM Saturday morning from there to take 45W to get to State College. It's always a nice drive this time of year and absolutely zero traffic whatsoever.

Everyone have safe travels to and from the game....I know many that are coming in from pretty far away.
New Castle, just above the Canal off of 13.
There's a nice looking golf course by the base...would love to play there sometime :)
Why go 45?
Just head up to Forest Hill and shoot out 192.
Unless you're already way past Mifflinburg on 45 towards Mill Hall or Millheim (I forget).
A lot of different stuff on here, so still not sure what to do. I am coming from Philly. Thinking I'll go the normal way and jump off 322 at Yeagerstown, or whatever that is, follow those roads (Main Street, old 322) for a bit and then jump back on 322. Is that the best way?
Yes, our cabin is right around the Millheim area.
Here is a link for Penndot's construction zones. http://www.511pa.com/TravelDelay.aspx
Find your road and it explains the delay.
Also using 192 will be much quicker than 45. I travel that road everyday and much less traffic, but watch for Amish buggies they are plentiful.
