I'll be there! Is it an official white out?
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I had a busy weekend with a bunch of stuff going on. Yes, the Pep Band will be there. We've got several more sponsors lined up. The Goon Show will be broadcasting from the event and will have some special guests on (much like when GameDay shows up, the crowd will be able to hear the broadcast and the guests). NittanyStrong will be giving out some of their tshirts. We're working on a solution to the parking problem and hope to make an announcement on that Monday..
If you can't be there in person, listen to the event on The Goon Show.
Come out to show support for the Penn State players and coaches on their way to and from their morning workout! Listen to the first hour of last Thursdays show ...
I dont want to support the university via a parking ticket and i know all loys near holuba will need a permit on a tuesday am.... let us know!
What time creamery open in am for a scoop of peachy paterno?
Thinking the same thing also..but can't you park before 8am?....thanks
Parking Plan for Rise & Rally:
University Police will close McKean Road at the Bigler Road intersection beginning at 5:15a.m. No vehicular traffic will be permitted into lots that are accessed via this roadway in order to prevent vehicle pedestrian conflicts. The roadway will reopen once the crowd has dispersed. Again, this is to ensure safety.
Faculty and staff who plan to attend should park in their assigned parking lot or in Eisenhower Parking Deck. Students are directed to park in their regularly assigned lot.
Visitors are directed to park in the commuter lots (Lot 44, Stadium West or Porter North), which are all located near Beaver Stadium. Blue Loop bus service is available from the bus stop on Curtin Road and on Porter Road. The Parking Office has authorized parking in the commuter lots until 9:00a.m. without a parking permit. Those choosing to walk to Holuba Hall from the commuter lots must cross at the Curtin Road intersection or the Hastings Road intersection. Visitors may also choose to park in the East Parking Deck located north of the Berkey Creamery on Bigler Road. Please note, however, that there is a $1.00 per hour charge for this parking option.
Please keep in mind that the setup of tables, tents, EZ ups, etc. is not permitted on any paved parking surfaces.

So jealous, if I was not over 7 hours away....
I am glad it sounds like a good turnout
Real good turnout despite the thunderstorms in the area, just seen Adam T.
Does anyone know what time this goes til?
Blue band was here well before 6:00 ,getting the crowd fired up playing fight songs,I would guess the crowd is close to a couple thousand. We Are.
I think it is a 45 minute workout and they come out at 7:45 and want the fan support when they leave
Here now on holuba practice field. Thousands of fans were here. Players rotating stations of conditioning. Fitz a monster.
Matt m leads team for every drill for his group.
Beating tractor tires w sledge hammers....
Thanks for the updates....sounds like the fans turned out in force....
Is anyone going to post some video or pictures?
My kids went and said Fitz is crazy
Team calls fans in to ending huddle. I lead echoing we ares after. Autographs. Pictures. Paul jones is huge.
Sounds like there was a GREAT turnout. Estimate 3,000+ fans. Wish I could've been there. The pictures on twitter and FB are awesome. I can't imagine what that meant to the coaches/players.
