As everyone i'm sure knows, OSU had a recent problem with a convicted sex offender potentially tampering with recruits. Time to open our eyes to PSU's version of a problem similar to this (although no charges were made against this guy). Just trying to get the word out to potentially stop PSU from having the same problem OSU just had...especially considering we are already under the microscope. At the least, this is very concerning given what has just transpired at OSU. Multiple tweets to our recruits, a "recruiting service", etc.

FYI - PSU is already aware of him.

good to hear...seems like a recruiting violation waiting to happen. PSU is especially in a position that we need to be proactive with these types of things, not reactive.
Someone needs to tell Adam Breneman about this guy because he retweeted him a couple times just this morning

I was just about to say the same thing... eerily similar with the guy at OSU and Breneman and Hackenberg have both retweeted Picca lately. I believe AB did an interview with him or something last week...
Scary... we need this dude to stay away from the program
While I absolutely agree, this is a trickier situation. The guy involved at OSU was convicted 5x and a registered sex offender. Picca/PSUisBack, to my knowledge, has never been convicted of any crimes.

convicted sex offender or not...guy is still a recruiting violation waiting to happen. What went on with him and his "teaching" is just more red flags
Every fan base has its psychos chasing recruits and players on Twitter and Facebook. If my son was a D-1 recruit, I would tell him to ignore fans that want to be his "friend" on Facebook or "follower" on Twitter.
My favorite part in all of this is Anzalone's dad saying, keep these people away from my son...
Like they walk around with a scarlet letter, a # branded on their arms, etc.
Control is an illusion. More than anything I think this situation helps to improve their awareness. Many a Buckeye fan had their fun throwing mud... Now they can see how powerless a fan base can feel. How embarassing it can be for a university. How little control you (or anyone) really has in an attempt to maintain the integrity of a program. Thankfully, I'm glad this perceived "offense" was "victimless". Just embarassing instead of harmful.
"Whoever’s trying to kill me isn’t getting the job done. But one day, I’m going to punch that f___r in the face."
You may want to read the article before tar and feathering the guy. The principal of the school may be more of a creep than Picca. You may be jumping to a conclusion and he may be the one cashing in for an unwarranted dismissal from his job.
"I like your head, it's a good look." - James Franklin, to a bald reporter asking a question.
Don't try and rationalize it... there are no allegations of the principal doing anything inappropriate with students, and certainly nothing about the principal reaching out to "help" recruits get scholarships, etc... the principal is irrelevant.
If you were around when PiB went bezerk in 2007 following the UM game.. you will know why some, like WSM, have been concerned about this guy for a while now. Absolutely nothing good can come from this, period.
Any chance you can fill those of us that don't know who PiB is in?
Shocker, look who is defending him. Our own little twitter/FB junky here on 247. You're as bad as this guy is.
PiB, or PennState is Back...
Posted on TOS 5-6 years ago... claimed he knew alot of the recruits from the MD area that were in the Maybin class... I believe he claimed to be "friends" with D-WIll from the class prior as welll... I don't recall all the particulars, but seemed like it started innocent enough at first... had some "inside" info at the time, into the recruitment of kids in the DMV... got carried away with it, and I believe it escalated and erupted with a complete meltdown after PSU went in the turtle shell and lost to UM in the Big House in 2007', he just went ape shit... I believe it got him band, then he came back with another alter ego, and got outed pretty quick... hadn't heard much from him until recently someone posted an article a month or so ago on this site regarding the allegations at his school...
If you search and find his twitter... its bizarre, the logo for his "recruiting" service has him with his arms raised like he is jesus christ, with his name in HUGE letters above his head... he also has a post with a pic of himself standing beside Cameron Wake, with a tweet to Wake congratulating him on the new contract, saying "next time you buy lunch", like they are really buddies or something... freakin weird dude.
This genie is out of the football. Efforts shouldn't be "how can we stop this?", it should be "how can we mitigate this?"
As far as I know, there is nothing Ohio State could have done, or even will do, to stop a man who is committing no crime to walk onto their campus and talk to/take pictures with student-athletes and the recruits they host.

except alert their student athletes after the individual comes too close and tampering becomes an issue, like OSU did. As long as we keep alerting compliance to these people, they will be the ones responsible for keeping these people away from our student-athletes and making sure no rules are broken. Just like this Waugh guy, all it takes is one "fan" to contact these guys and buy them lunch (like Waugh did with a couple players) for it to become a violation. The fact these guys have past history's of child assault issues/accusations that have been documented just further raises more red flags. It becomes even more concerning when an individual like this tries to start his own "recruiting service" when it's pretty well documented he is a HUGE PSU fan that contacts our own recruits all the time. Doesn't hurt to alert the proper people whenever something is suspected of being a bit off so we can avoid an OSU situation down the road.
Are you serious with this? Are you actually arguing that it's ok for this guy to be massaging his elementary age students and having them sit on his lap? On top of that, is it also ok for this same guy to be running a "recruiting service" where he is deliberately coming into contact with minors?
No doubt that the principal of that school sounds like a creep, too, but he has nothing to do with recruiting or tampering with potential PSU athletes.
I think the most intriguing thing about PiB was how he used pictures to give hints on verbals and such. Never forget that.
Right, teachers unions are well known for allowing their members to be terminated without cause.
