He is just a beast. 6'7" and 315 lbs. and likely will be even bigger by the time he plays in college. Word is he looked really good at the 1-on-1s at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl combine..... No relation to Russ Grimm, but looks like he plays like his namesake.
Watch all 8 of Michael Grimms athletic and academic accomplishments.
Does he have an offer? I heard about the combine, and here in Pittsburgh, the buzz is strong w him... Pitt offered, but I dont think we have... I'm sure MTayl can analyze this one...
WE ARE! And we will always be...
No official offer yet....but I have to believe he gets one.
This kid is going to be another Anzalone and will take a million visits before switching his commitment on signing day. I don't see much interest here. We are better off going after Quenton Nelson.
What makes you think that? He has no history of any of that behavior.
You can tell by his comments, he has visited... But offers up a bunch of backhanded compliments. Also apparently the Pitt, PSU and WVU junior days are around the same time and he doesn't want to go to any of them because he doesn't want to indicate who his leader is right now.
That's ridiculous. I think Q Nelsom is the staffs top target and he should be.
Grimm has had very positive things to say about PSU. We are likely his favorite if he gets an offer. His uncle played here. Ignore the above poster.
“We’re doing things we couldn’t imagine,” says safety Stephen Obeng-Agyapong. “But we’re doing them together.”
I really don't think you have any basis to claim he's another Alex Anzalone, with switching commitments, etc. He's already said he doesn't think you should be taking visits if you're committed, so he plans on committing late, possibly on NSD.
Grimm is a good OT and if the staff targets him, I'd be perfectly fine with it.
This. Other articles suggest we're likely the leader if we offer
Grimm is an OT and Nelson is a guard. Nelson might be an OT at the next level, but he's projected to be an OG. There's room for both if the staff feels Grimm deserves a scholly.
I take issue with this statement. I know this kid personally, and that is such a baseless statement. Michael is actually pretty high on PSU. Just because he hasn't come out and said they are his favorite, you compare him to a pre-modonna like Anzalone. Ridiculous on all levels. Stop with your baseless immature assumptions, and let the kid do what's best for him. If that's Pitt, so be it. (Tirrade over)

Just a quick comment: The only way pitt is the best option is if it's the only option.
