First of all, just wanted to say how much respect I have for Penn State's players and coaches for the way they've continued to fight and claw this year long after the general public wrote them off. Great to see Penn State bounce back from those two early losses to win four straight.
Should be a heck of a game in Iowa City on Saturday. Night games at Kinnick Stadium always have an electric atmosphere, and with what I see are two relatively evenly matched teams, it should be a great night of B1G football.
Feel free to post any questions you have about Iowa in this thread, and I'll be checking in periodically throughout the week to answer as many as I can.
First off thanks for the kind words. And also for the opportunity to ask some questions.
So what would you say is the strong point of this Iowa team this year offensively? Clearly Weisman has talent but outside of him they don't seem to have many consistent guys at the skill positions
Thanks for stopping by.
What is Weisman's status for the game this week?
Who are the playmakers on Iowa's defense and special teams?
How much love is there for Ferentz in Iowa City? He seemed to be a hot name in coaching especially after 09/10 season but have 8-5 and 7-6 hurt his reputation in town?
Who starts at TB is Weisman is a scratch?
Thanks for your post of support, this team is really special.
Question: What is the Iowa QB situation like and how does it affect their passing game. As a traditional run team what is the mix of run/pass with this team.
Why should we (or anyone) be scared of this Iowa team?
Is the rb from Troy NY playing at all (canzzeri?)

What are you hearing about Weisman, will he play?
WE ARE! And we will always be...
Injury report would be very helpful.
Also, feelings on your offensive playmakers ability to make things happen on our stingy defense?
“We’re doing things we couldn’t imagine,” says safety Stephen Obeng-Agyapong. “But we’re doing them together.”
How is Iowa's vertical passing game? Do they try to attack deep or more focused on completing the shorter routes?
Thanks for posting such kind words and offering to answer questions!

Can the Iowa LBs and Safeties run with the multiple TE sets while not leaving Robinson alone in single coverage?
What are Iowa's strengths and weaknesses this year?
Wil they be able to run at all on PSU with Weismann out?
After winning the game against Michigan State, do you think this Iowa team is starting to turn the corner?
What is your D-Line like?
Why do your fans throw quarters and batteries at opposing fans?
October 12, 2013. PSU 43 - UM 40 (4 OT). Unfortunately this fan wasn't around long enough to see it!
Maybe they can't afford to throw dollars!
How frequently will you be answering questions about the Hawkeyes?.........i kid, i kid.
Wait 7 hours. The guy's a Nite Owl!
I like this. Hope it happens with other staff members from here on out. I understand our previous games prob. the only one with a 247 site was the Wahoos (who we still have not caught up to in 247 members I believe), and maybe Illinois.

Thanks Todd! No downvote for you!
So thoughts on the Iowa QB? He came into the game at the shoe a few years back Mr. Iowa football... kid screamed star... What happened?
Who should I look out for on defense for Iowa?
How are the Iowa special teams?
Thoughts on the brewing #NCAADonkeyscandal ? Rumors are flying!
PENN STATE FOREVER
Sorry for just now getting over here to answer the questions. Been a crazy 24 hours with some decommitments from Iowa and Michigan. I'll start answering these all right now.
I completely agree with you. Iowa's strength on offense is clearly running the ball. The offensive line, tight ends and fullbacks are all very good run blockers, and Weisman is a load when he builds some steam.
As you alluded to, the weakness on offense is the passing game. Iowa quarterback James Vandenberg has taken a ton of heat from Hawkeye fans, but I think there's much more to the struggles than that. The best receiver in school history (Marvin McNutt) is gone, the offensive line is several notches worse than last year's line when it comes to pass protection, and the players are having some difficulties adjusting to the new system implemented by offensive coordinator Greg Davis.
Vandenberg obviously can improve, and needs to improve if Iowa wants to be realistic contenders to make it to Indy. But I don't think he's the only one to blame, by any means.
1) Did you see McGloin's TD dive and discount double check against Northwestern? Now, I know the Iowa D can stop Rob Bolden on the goal line, but can they stop the Moxie Train?
2) Why did Iowa have to beat PSU in '08?
2a) Is it ok to cry about this 4 years later?
3) Is the pursuit of Akeel Lynch over, or will we have to go through that nightmare all next off season?
4) How hard would it be to find a ticket on Gameday in Iowa if I were to drive out there?
