I think the NCAA's motion to dismiss PA's lawsuit is denied and the rest of the NCAA bigwigs turn on Emmert, forcing him to resign. My guess is his last day as prez is April 24th. Anyone else have a guess or theory as to how it will play out?
March 15th, ides of March. No particular reason on that day except Brutus (FUEmmert), has turned on one of college football's Caesar's, PSU.
Same day as Rodney Erickson
Hopefully February 19th, 2013.
I'll go with St. Patrick's Day, March 17th. Would give us another reason to celebrate my favorite holiday! I hope he doesn't last that long though to be honest!
“I would give all my fame for a pot of ale, and safety.”

April 19th. My Birthday. Would be the perfect present.
Dear God, I hope when i wake up tomorrow in the morning, he is fired!
April 1...April fools day...he can say the holiday was named after him!
Any day would be good for me. I would like to see him answer under oath at a congressional hearing. Now that would be fun. Although i would not expect him to answer anything.
Oh I don't know. How old is he? He'll probably have a long reign and retire on his own terms. Sorry about being negative but I just feel unless the gov't does something the NCAA won't change.
I know Bilas is ripping Emmert but this will only last today in the media if even that long.
Last night watching bball games on ESPN the only thing I saw on the bottomline about the NCAA was they are continuing the investigation against Miami. When the JS thing hit every other title on the bottomline was Penn State. So, ESPN is not even reporting in prime time the day of the press conference!!!
I hope he gets fired today but that just isn't going to happen, imo.
6/28/2013. He will want / negotiate some time before resigning...... I only wish they catch him having done something illegal so I can watch his arrogant mug taking the walk of shame on ESPN.
He ain't heavy - He's my brother!
Actually, Bilas has been ripping him for quite a while now.
Bilas has been critical of the NCAA and Emmert for quite a while.
Emmert should have been fired months ago.
I did find his next employment opportunity, though.
He will not be removed nor will he resign. I think a ton of people underestimate the power of the media. For goodness sake it is already pretty much off the monster at ESPN and even when they did have it it was more about Miami. Wake up people until the media decised it is time for him to go then he is going nowhere.
Unfortunately you are correct. We need more than Jay Bilas. Legitimate lawsuits or gov't intervention could do too. The media just isn't for some reason they are Mark Emmert apologists.
Except for Bilas!!! I love Jay!!!!
11 days after the release of the report is enough time to use the media outrage against him.
I have little doubt it will be denied. They were flat out wrong in stating the consent decree was ratified by the BOT. Now Emmert comes out and says the NCAA should follow its own rules? No way a judge tosses this out.
I wish I wasn't correct but I am afraid this is what willbe the case. The Monster and ESPN are in bed together with all these big time money games, not too mention a game on every station The Moster has in every time slot of every Saturday.
I hope Miami ends up with what they want but when it goes away they will shut up because they got what they want.
I am just baffled as to how UNC got away with fake classes.
Apparently if any non-athletic student benefits from it too, you're good to go.
Which means if other schools are using...unsavory techniques (i.e. money and women) to lure athletes to schools, then if they do it for a few nerds too, there's no problem.
I think the media and public outrage is too great and the NCAA will act within the next two weeks.. They will give him the option "Termination or you resign on your own". They should make him sign a consent decree......
Yep.. let that be a lesson to everyone... just give the benefit to a common student as well and it's all good.
Of course now UNC has been questioned by their accreditation organization, so maybe they won't get away with it scott-free.
