But please remember to vote starting tomorrow in the alumni trustee election. We MUST defeat Deviney and Suhey, and hope that three strong new trustees will be effective representatives for the alumni--and for Penn State.
The voting closes on May 2nd.
Is the ballot being emailed out tomorrow or is it coming snail mail?
I get mine by email. But I am also on the alumni distro: L-PSAA-ANNOUNCEMENT@lists.psu.edu

Almost everybody gets it via email, but folks not on the internet can get a paper ballot. There's a phone number to call on the BOT website. If you need it and can't find it, let me know. David Mullaly
“We need to keep this (expletive) together,” Mauti and Zordich to Hill
"We want the warriors"
Just finished voting. Mullaly, Doran & Oldsey got the nod!
Voted Brown, Oldsey and Mulally.
22 Barbara L. Doran, '75, New York, NY
28 David K. Mullaly, '69, '72g, Annapolis, MD
36 William F. Oldsey, '76, Basking Ridge, NJ
It seems that you share many of the same views and goals as PS4RS. Did you seek the endorsement of PS4RS? If so, why did they endorse other candidates? If not, why did you not choose to seek their support?
With that said, I appreciate you coming on here and personally campaigning for votes, so I will likely vote for you, but I would like to hear how your views differ from PS4RS's three endorsed candidates and the other candidates in the pool?
Mullaly, Doran, Oldsey for me.
"You can take bowl games and you can take external things from people, but you can't take a warrior's heart."
Cambria: I made a good faith effort to gain the endorsement of PS4RS, and submitted everything they required. They set up a committee of nine folks who narrowed the list from 37 candidates to 6, and I didn't make the cut. Interestingly, the chairman of the committee (a former footballer) and Franco were in the group, and the six finalists included two former football players--neither of which were voted in the top three receiving the endorsements of the group. I don't see any point in speculating about their choices, but I looked at the list of six finalists and decided that I should continue to run without any support from them--so alums could have the chance to vote for or against me in the real election. I believe that my views and those of the leadership of PS4RS are quite similar.
I would like to think that my efforts privately and publicly to stand up for Penn State--and before a campaign was even contemplated--will matter to our alumni. Almost every candidate is saying something similar right now--where were they since the scandal broke? I humbly ask for your support--and that of every other alum.

David -- thanks for the candid response. You have my vote. I know you have done a lot since the scandal broke, and you have been a long-time poster on this board and BWI.
PS: I voted for DavidM, Barbara Doran, and Thomas Conley (the Air Force pilot).

Same. Good luck David and make a difference if you get in! We need LEADERS!!
Jax: That's my intention. Thanks to all for voting--whoever you vote for not named Deviney or Suhey.
I will be voting for Doran, Brown or Oldsey, Mullaly.
DavidM has been there since day one. He's answered every question I've posed to him. We need leaders who listen to their constituents.
Now, I do want to vote for PS4RS candidates because we need to concentrate our votes somehow so we win. I'm up in the air about Brown or Oldsey. I do see a benefit of having a real crisis management expert on the board. Anyone have thoughts between Brown and Oldsey?
I will vote as soon as I get my ballot. Of course, I requested it and received a confirmation a month ago and today didn't receive anything. My attempts to contact the BOT office today were futile as they seemed to be in an all day staff meeting....
Based on what I know about the candidates, I'd definitely go with Oldsey. I've met and talked to him, and I've talked to others who have known him longer.
I suspect this first day the BOT office was inundated with emails etc. Plus I gather not all of the ballot emails were sent today. You've still got plenty of time to get things straight. And there is a phone # on the BOT website you can call--although it's supposed to be for paper ballots. If you can't find it, I'll get it for you.
Thanks DavidM. I'm just anxious to vote.
I know the sister-in-law of Keith Masser. She forwarded an email from Keith to her alumni "friends" along with her plea to vote for suhey and deviney. It got me fired up and want to vote.
My vote will be Doran, Oldsey, and Mullaly.
When you get elected, will you still hang out with us peasants?
I have a feeling you will.
I'm voting for Mulally, Doran, and either Brown or Oldsey (leaning towards Brown but will give them both another look).
David M- You earned my vote! I was originally favoring voting for the 3 PS4RS endorsements, but I like everything that I have heard from you the past couple of months. You seem like a real fighter and a fighter is what we need right now.
