Sickels was "also considered" for best DE (they named top 3).
SAN ANTONIO, Texas- Five-star defensive tackle Eddie Vanderdoes has been one of the top standouts at practice for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl this week.
So this is from the Army National Combine thread on the Blue Board, but:
Steve Wiltfong: "2015 CB John Reid out of Philly St. Joe's Prep has offers from Boston College, Colorado, UCF, Rutgers and Maryland.
Checked in at 5-10, 172.
Loves ND, Ohio State and SEC schools according to his father."
Live from the Under Armour Combine thread
Gerry Hamilton: Jonathan Thomas out of St John's prep in Mass. Checked in at 5-10.5 and 196.
Penn State has reportedly offered. Boston College recently.
Terrific, compact RB body type
EDIT: film link is attached. Don't recall hearing about him before.
Either this website doesn't exist or is not currently available.

Gerry quickly replied to this post he made and said:
Just ripped off a 4.4 forty
Penn State about to offer.
BC, Virginia and VaTech have offered
From Army Combine thread, about a 2015 QB in our recruiting area (Wimbush from NJ):
Charles Power: Top 100 QB Brandon Dawkins is another I'm looking forward to seeing in that position group. Luke Ward from Tennessee and Brandon Wimbush (2015) from St. Peters in New Jersey are a few others of note.
I still want Nick Scott, but kid can ball. I love our staff lol They find kids first, period.
WE ARE! And we will always be...
2015 WR Lawrence Cager (Towson, Md./Calvert Hall) is a legit 6-4 and looked athletic running the 40- looking forward to seeing him in one on ones.
Time to get the pipeline going!! Gotta get Davis, Amos, and Williams talking to him!
Also from the Under Armour Thread, so mentions about some of our targets and people from our recruiting area..
Delaware WR Chris Godwin with a high point snatch on a square in.
Springfield, OH WR Thaddeus Snodgrass checked in at 6-0 1/4 and 175
Thaddeus Snodgrass with a deep square in catch against Marlon Humphrey.
Thaddeus Snodgrass with a red zone TD - corner
S/OLB Kobe Walker out of Good Counsel came in at 6-2 1/2 and 188
Dematha 2014 WR Cameron Phillips made a trip of nice grabs today.
5-11 1/2 and 172-pounds

I like Robert Martin every bit as much as Nick Scott. Lots of options for the second RB. McKenzie and this kid sure are not slouches at all either....
JC Shurburtt: Watching OL vs. DL and 2014 Mike Grimm from Western Pa. has looked excellent.
Is this from ua or army?
Jc Shurburtt: A pair of 2014 New England quarterbacks- Nicholas Andreas from Mass. and Quentin Harris from Conn., have really good arms. Good velocity, quick releases. Both are undersized.
Thanks. Bills you have been puttin in work man. Thanks for all the effort. +1
Is the UA game on TV tonight? ESPN?
5 on espn
Mike Grimm (Bethel Park, Pa.) seemed to dominate the combine at 6-6 310 2014
Mostly repeating what they said in the other posts, but also a mention of the 2016 DE from Calvert Hall Rashaun Smith. Says he had some moments in the 1-on-1's.
SAN ANTONIO, Texas- News and notes from the U.S. Army National Combine, which was held on Friday at the Alamodome.
I was at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and Mahon was in beast mode. Played really well for a kid who never lined up at center. Sickles lined up as a DT which confused me considering he should definitely be on the outside. Wore my Penn State gear and was able to strike up some pretty positive conversations. Very good time.
I asked JC what he thought about Mahon. His response in italics:
Both are solid prospects. I think both are ranked about right, Sickels slightly too high maybe.
Thought Sickels had a great first step at times and was disruptive.
(Following are my thoughts, not his) I still think Mahon is a 4* easily, but it's their website. I'll just wait for him to prove them wrong on the field in a couple years.
Just an FYI, JC responded to my comments about Mahon:
Can't rule out a bump for Mahon. I just have to look at it.
"10. Tyrone McNiel, DE, Philadelphia (Pa.) George Washington
There were several good defensive linemen competing in California but McNiel may have been the most athletic edge rusher in attendance. He stands 6-3 and 212 pounds so he’ll need to continue to develop physically and add weight but his quickness off the corner looked elite. Currently his interest has come from the likes of Temple, West Virginia, Duke and Rutgers."
This is from a junior combine in California, article attached. Interesting, hadn't heard this kid's name before.
An Oklahoma commit stole the show at one of the top underclassman combines in the country last Thursday. We break down all of the days top performances.
Under Armour Combine results. Includes notes about Chris Godwin, Andrew Ford, among others.
A deep and talented pool of underclassmen highlighted last Fridays Under Armour All-America Combine at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla.
I posted in the comments section, asked Gerry a couple things (Ford's arm strength, Johnathan Thomas' interest in PSU). His response:
Ford does need to let it rip more, as I know that is a question on him - not because he doesn't have plus arm strength, but it's more of an unknown.
He throws a lot of timing and touch passes, and did Friday - in limited reps.
Thomas would be interested in Penn State based on my short convo, but he's from Virginia and Virginia Tech was his favorite growing up. They are the favorite.
