Sadly I don't know that you will ever get the full story. Esspecially Joe's story. The damage has already been done with out a large amount of facts. The division that has been cut by this story is so deep that questioning the assertions that have been made immediately becomes labeled as being an "apologist" or being caught up in the "football culture" that allowed this travesty to occur. There are so many questions unanswered and suggestions taken as fact that for anyone to draw a conclusion at this point stinks of agenda.
There is without a doubt that these men who McQueary informed of what he heard/saw/inferred should have found this young boy back in 2001. Whether them not finding the child or having an agency further up the chain get involved to find and question this child was a calculated part of a cover-up to protect the football program or a major mistake based on the information on hand at the time is up for debate. At this point there are no facts out there that lean either way in any significant manner. The media has chosen their juicier tale to spin.
This is the part I don't think we will ever know and probably the question I would most want answered. Why?
a. protect football
b. protect university image
c. WE CAN HANDLE THIS, internally with Jerry, get him help.
We know the media went with A. My gut tells me C (which of course serves a and B) but we will probably never know unless something comes out at the perjury trial.
Also, the Freeh report pounded Spanier as well, why has nothing come of that, no charges or noise?
Scott P needs to STFU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nobody is listening. Unless you have compelling evidence to overturn what's on the record STFU.
For all we know, they do.
If they do, they should have shown it already
Problem is that the other side has no evidence and this needs to be exposed. So you STFU.

Too bad they didn't have the guts to stand up to a child molester
Unless you know the laws (albeit backwards), you shouldn't make comments like that. We will all find out in due time what occurred. The Freeh report shouldn't be the basis for anyone's opinion for fact.
They were going to but feared it wouldn't be humane. It's fine.
As long as the 110k can have their bread and circuses and can hold on against any hope that their deity Joe was innocent it's OK. Now it's a Sunday- you shouldn't be ruining weekends with talk like this. Wait till Monday
Who is they? (Be very careful how you answer.)
Please don't make him post again.
I thought I already asked you to fix your faulty timeline in another thread?
That is absolutely the most frustrating part. And it will always leave to wide spread speculation.
YOUR have been banned from reading and posting on the Michigan Wolverine board.
On 8/21/12 joe Posanski book is released. I just placed my pre-order on Amazon.com. Maybe this will clear up some of the speculation on this thread. I believe Joe was told how many months he had to live and hopefully he put to words knowing he was never going to see a trial.
I've heard this is not the case. I read an article online somewhere about that.
It's human nature for them to fight here. He doesn't have to STFU as it was his father. If it were you dad, you would be saying something else.
"One man didn't build this program and one man sure as hell cannot tear it down."
Everyone that created the narrative about Joe and PSU wants it to stick, they don't want to eat crow for their knee-jerk sensationalism. So of course they are going to ridicule it or spin it to fly with the storyline they created.
I have heard many times people use the example: "If that were your child in the shower with Sandusky..."
Well how about "If that was your was your recently deceased father that people were trashing..."
It makes absolute sense that the Paternos are going to fight tooth and nail for Joe, his legacy, their names, and PSU and it's football program. At least someone isn't running from the fight. I respect that.
