They'll probably ask 4th year JRs not to come back unless they're on the 2deep, which should help them make the 84 by August.
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
and this is why you will never ever see the SEC agree to make these scholarships four year commitments to the kids. Mike Slive can talk a big game, but ...
Why would they? They've found a way to ensure a competitive advantage for their teams over another.
Its technically not even a competitive advantage, because everybody outside the B1G could do it, but most programs don't due to ethical issues.
If your an NFL GM in what round do you pick him. For me, no better than a 3rd.
But if he goes back and gets hurt again, then he won't get drafted at all, and would be a tough UDFA sign due to him being so fragile.
True. I guess it will all come down to what the team physicians see.
Holy crud. Luke Del Rio, 3* QB prospect, is choosing to walk-on at Alabama over offers from schools like UCLA, Oklahoma State, and Oregon State. He used to be committed to Okie State until they went through some personnel changes.
I mean, obviously his pops has the money that he can go anywhere he wants, but still.
Who is Alabama's QB coach? He must have winning as priority #1 over an education, PT, or coaching.
I always liked Tyler Cogswell...
Tyler Cogswell thought he was all set to become a Razorback, but a call from new Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema changed all that. Come inside for more.
Sad to see. Hope he gets a chance elsewhere.
I suppose I should withhold judgement until all of the facts are known, but I'm assuming this is a dickhead move on Bert's part?
F the NCAA
F the BOT
That's what it sounds like...
BB is such a quality guy.
I thought it was pretty funny how the BTN: Journey show about the B1GCG ended with BB telling his players "I am so proud, andI love each and every one of ya." Then it goes on to say he left the program on so and so day to go to Arkansas, and then the credits rolled. What an ass
UNC flips OL Brad Henson from UVa. Some talk of PSU interest early on...
"Penn State has taken a lot of punches in the last six months and it's time to punch back" - BOB
Jonathon Cook just committed to Bama...we were one of the first major schools to go after him.
If this isn't proof our staff know what the heck they're doing, then I don't know what is. Granted, Bama can afford to wait on a kid like this in their own back yard.
Looks like Bret Beliema will fit in nicely in the SEC.
Our staff is ahead of the curve... Always.
WE ARE! And we will always be...
1) Alabama's secondary coach just took the DC job at FSU. I don't think this will impact any recruits [Averett [sp?], or Cook] but something to keep an eye on.
2) According to BWI front page, Trey Johnson set his announce date (unknown). UF just added their 4th LB commit this weekend so I'm guessing no more room in Gainesville and Johnson is off to Columbus.

yep, Meyer told Johnson that God told him to go to OSU...
Is he done with Auburn, or are they still in it?
WR Eldridge Massington committed to UCLA.
This kid used to be a USCw commit (early enrollee), who was essentially told by Kiffin a few weeks ago that there was no more room for him. Massington loved USC too and had been a great recruiter for them.
Was supposedly waiting on Alabama (would have been able to commit to them if Robert Foster chose Pitt), but apparently felt like committing to UCLA. Just a messed-up recruitment all around.
Hopefully the kid has huge games against USC over his four years on campus at UCLA.
Secondary coach leaving Bama might have a small impact on S. Vonn Bell, although Bell has said Saban is very hands on with the DBs. Sounds like he is Bama bound with hometown Tenn. and OSU still in the picture. I believe he has decided to take officials in January, which is the only way I see OSU having a chance.
LB Trey Johnson is set to announce at the Under Armour All-America Game Friday January 4 (5:00 pm ESPN)
LB Mike Mitchell is set to announce at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Saturday January 5th (1:00 pm NBC)
OSU seems to have a decent at both. Mitchell canceled his visit to Ta&m (and they have 35 commits?) so I think the odds are higher with him.
I believe Robert Foster is suppose to announce this afternoon - I would assume it will be either Pitt or Alabama.
