Are you sure the offer is non-commitable because of a numbers crunch? Maybe it was a lukewarm offer just to string him along and after more consideration, they just didn't want him. Both are bad but at least the former is understandable...if he was told that it could happen beforehand.
“We need to keep this (expletive) together,” Mauti and Zordich to Hill
I have no idea, just assumed. Could definitely be wrong. If it's a numbers crunch, he should have been told before and if it was actually a non-committable offer, he should have been told as well IMO. Don't like either situation, but the former is definitely more understandable if the crunch was very recent. If it was known for a while he'd get squeezed out though, I still think it's just as sleazy.
Looks like Baker is a Nole....for real this time haha. Great pickup for them, and glad everything worked out for Baker. That had to be an awkward situation.
Notre Dame picked up their first 2014 verbal commitment from Virginia LB Greer Martini
Wisconsin picked up a pretty big commit from Darius Latham...#70 overall. That's the type of pick-ups they need to have from those midwestern guys to stay at an elite level.
Looks like FSU accepted Adrian Baker's commitment now. Just an overall mess for them.
If a scholarship offer isn't commitable, then it's not an offer. Stupid to call it that when kids aren't allowed to accept it. The word offer means "to present for acceptance or rejection."
If it's not commitable, then what the hell is it? It's a hook and that's all it is.

MSU apparently not giving up on Delton Williams
Several Sticking With Williams
The recruitment of Class of 2013 Erie (Pa.) Cathedral Preparatory athlete Delton Williams was going along like that of any other coveted Division I prospect. Then he ran into some trouble.
The recruitment of Delton Williams was going as planned before he got into some off-field trouble. Where does it stand now?
Florida LB Freddie Stevenson commits to Florida State.
Yet another example of why posters on this board, FOS and BWI shouldn't get all giddy when a recruit says he will for sure visit PSU. Sounds all too familiar. Deeb was another this year. Who knows about Vanderdoes.
that spot won't be available for him to take an official
NJ RB Zaire Williams will be deciding next week between West Virginia, Iowa and Wisconsin.
he wasn't visiting regardless if a spot was available or not.
Former OSU commit Lewis Neal commits to LSU. 3* ranked an 83 and 3* on the other sites for whatever that's worth to everyone.
Very nice pickup for LSU, I see him getting a 4th * at some point. Hope OSU can pull in Tyquan Lewis to replace him.
We all know know damn well they accepted Baker to avoid the negative pub that would go along with them rejecting his offer.
As for the guy who asked about Stanko, very underrated coming out IMO. Will redshirt this year while working under our new strength program. But I expect him to be starting in 2 years and feel he'll be a darn good player.

Stanko & Mahon at OG... that's an old school nasty tandem. Ideal IMO. You want your OGs should be the meanest guys on the team (on the field wise). Stanko and Mahon are certainly that.
I'm looking forward to Stanko's development. Very strong kid at a young age. Several years in our S&C program, he could be a monster
Thanks for the feedback on Stanko guys. That is exactly what I would have expected from him. Mean SoB which is what you want in your OL.
Sounds like Top247 Texas LB Mike Mitchell is on the verge of committing to Ohio State. That's a hell of a replacement for Anzalone.
Damnit... Good pick up for them if true. Kid is a freak.
WE ARE! And we will always be...
Might as well stick with the conference rivals theme. Top247 WR Laquon Treadwell told Mike Farrell tonight that he's 75% sure he's headed to Michigan.
I think Michigan is going to dominate the other division and possibly (hopefully, LOL) OSU for years to come.
The only problem with that is I've heard he could very well grow into a DE, and frankly OSU is beyond stacked there.
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
