Not a 2014 prospect but Devin Wilson committed to Virginia Tech for basketball.
Michigan State got two commitments: the #2 center, Brian Allen, and a DL, Enoch Smith.
I believe Enoch Smith was one that Sean mentioned Penn State trying to talk to. He had a Notre Dame offer, good pull for MSU.
According to reports, WR Jaason Lewis tried to verbal to UNC recently and they said no.

If he checks out academically, they'll say yes.
It's a bit surprising to see him commit so early.
Why would academics be a concern?
Guess he doesn't plan on majoring in African-American studies...
Even UNC prefers kids who know there is only one "A" in Jason.
Just FYI, Connor Morehart committed to Temple.

I'm guessing Peppers to follow here soon.
It looks like he's been moving his timeline up. Might not even make it out to Stanford.

For whatever reason, our staff didn't see in him what some others did. I get that, and am fine with it. The bigger picture is the concern here for me. Michigan has been invisible in North Jersey forever. Now they are likely to get two prospects in one class from PC. In-road established there. This only increases the need for our staff to build a relationship with Toal, Karcich, and Campanile. They are the power brokers in the area, and the last staff had no relationship with them whatsoever.
The new divisional setup will make things much harder for us in the Northeast, as Michigan and OSU will now be bigger presences than ever before.
