With the conclusion of the 2013 class (except for Alex Collins, whose mother just hired a lawyer to "protect the family's interests"), it seems appropriate to begin a new thread to keep track of what other teams are doing in recruiting.
While it was mentioned in the other thread, Michigan recently got a QB commit from 2014 QB Wilton Speight, a 3* from Virginia.
That Alex Collins story is a mess, although I might be like that mom too if my kids wanted to sign with Michigan or OSU!
Kid can still go to Arkansas if he wants. He doesn't need a mother to sign his NLI. Might cause a problem in the household, but he, himself, can sign a grant in aid instead.
His dad signed
"We have a culture of integrity. That's not new at Penn State and that's not going to get old at Penn State."
Hoke getting crushed by Meyer right now....OSU already landed the #3 player in Michigan, Webb, and today they landed the #4 player, Lawrence Marshall. Both had UM offers. OSU is also coming after Drake Harris and Malik McDowell really strong. A possibility OSU lands the top 4 players in Michigan in 2014.
In a strange move, OSU gets a commit from Michigan 4 star Lawrence Marshall on Sunday. Two days later he visits MSU and today he visited Michigan and decommitted from OSU. He probably should have taken his time.
Where is Alex Anzalone de-committ yet in this cycle?

"DOMINATE the state" - James Franklin 1/11/14
Very soon could be Marshall FYI. He may committ to Michigan or Michigan State, but if USC offers he is gone. Lifelong USC fan.

So you know how everyone spins the story of missing out on a prospect? Well, this USC writer takes the cake.

I like how, after all the justification, it ends with "that's not terrible." If that's your standard, being "not terrible," well then Lane Kiffin may be the right coach for you.
It sounds like Michigan's DL coach is going to Oklahoma. He is the main recruiter for not only a couple of their current commits, but a number of top targets. If he does leave, could affect their recruiting. We aren't competing with them for a lot of recruits, but they are making moves on several players in the NE region, so who knows.
OL Mason Cole committed to Michigan. Rated 96 on 247, and ranked #62 in the nation.
I wonder if Michigan is planning on running the 10 OL - 1 RB (Green) offense
Not recruiting, but UVA announced scheduled football games against Boise State in 2015 and 2017.
LSU got a commitment from the top prospect in Texas, 5* safety Edward Paris.
Texas may need to make a coaching change soon. This past year really showed them losing their stranglehold on Texas.
Don't they already have like 5 4* kids committed for 2014?
I believe so. They're in for a big recruiting year. Could definitely land the #1 overall class if things go to plan.
Louisiana is stocked this year.
So, Saban offered a kid in eighth grade today ...
Little too old for me.
At this point, it's not even noteworthy.
Blanding to UVA.

Earth is not flat.
Not all that surprising.. London is going to have a monster class this year
Be ashame if he had another sub-par year...no more assistants to fire to take the blame.
Sadly think your right... he's a heck of a coach imo
