What about Chiappelle (sp?) and Brock Barankowski.....are they not confirmed? Thanks.
SIAP, can't find this anywhere but Ryan Snyder is reporting that Justin Norman has committed to run on. He said he committed a couple weeks ago, but again, I couldn't find it anywhere.

another smart kid!

Saw Adam Geiger at wrestling sectionals yesterday. The kid is put together. Not sure Fitz can even build more muscle on him. I think we got a great athlete with Adam. He was a man among boys yesterday in a pretty strong district 3 AA section.
Also posted this on the non VIP Oline thread, but will here also for those interested:
I had a chance to see Austin Fiedler wrestle at our sectional tourney Saturday. He has good size. I did not stand next to him, but he's easily over 6'3", probably at least 6'4" or 5". He wrestled at heavyweight, so he's under 285, looks to be in the 270 range. Decent frame and length. Doesn't have the broadest shoulders, but not narrow either. For a tackle that isn't as critical. One thing that stood out as a negative for me is that his natural standing position shows that he is somewhat knock-kneed and his legs aren't......beefy, for lack of a better term. His strength appears above average, as both matches I saw him in he completely overpowered both opponents with upper body strength, but for his size he should be able to do so at a single/double A tourney. One area that stood out as a strength in my limited look is that he seemed flexible and able to bend and seems to have a good understanding of leverage and balance in relationship to body movement, which can actually in my opinion be more difficult when your opponent is several inches shorter as was the case in both of his matches I saw. That said, I have never seen him play football, but thought some may be interested in this info.
Looks like Wiand got into UP.

The new run-on I was referring to in previous tweet is linebacker Michael Wiand from Mifflinburg. He committed today. #PennState #PSU

Good for him!
I wonder how many more we are gonna take. Welcome Michael!

Just got confirmation from Penn State that receiver Luke Vadas from University School will walk on with the Nittany Lions this fall.

That's huge. OSU expected him to go there as a walk-on, given that he grew up in Ohio. Also sounded like he was high on Pitt.
Had an offer from Marshall, too.
Interesting article on him here:
Stats Last Year: 79 receptions, 1045 yards, 9 TDs
What are the biggest factors when making your decision?
For me, the most important thing, is being around a coach and a program that is intelligent and someone who I can relate to. At the end of the day however, the other main component for me is being somewhere that I will have a chance to play, and help my team win football games on a big stage.
Luke Vadas, a wide receiver in the class of 2013, has yet to make his decision for where he wants to enroll. Born and raised in Ohio, Vadas caught the eyes of the Ohio State coaching staff and have talked with him about a preferred walk-on role.
Agreed. Over 1000 yards receiving against a bunch of Div1 and DivII Ohio teams is a pretty solid season. Looks like he even played some cornerback based off his film. Think he is definitely in the top half of the run-ons that committed to the program.
Have to enjoy that fact that he spurned O$U
"I like your head, it's a good look." - James Franklin, to a bald reporter asking a question.
Yeah, that's why I pulled that quote out. Looking for an intelligent coach and someone he can relate to... Hi Urbz...
Tom Bradley's Godson.
Nice - pretty cool......I think we have some really solid run-on WR's, Fagnano, Von Walker, Garrity, Vadas
Vadas is another quality run on get.
Just got a chance to look at Vadas. Interesting kid, interesting film. He does a nice job setting up his defender with slight fakes when he's running routes. Just a little something to get them off balance.
2nd best walk-on we got and he may have the best chance at actually seeing the field on something other than special teams. I'm very high on this kid.
