Good question. Maybe someone that doesn't like him fed him bad info., but with his personality I couldn't imagine that happening.
I am on my phone so can't include any sarcasm image.
is anyone else as confused as i am?
"People ask me why I stayed here so long, Look around, Look around, I stay here because I love you all" R.I.P. Joe - 12/21/1926-01/22/2012
So what would your reaction be if he committed, in stone, long term then turned around and up and left???? I'd rather him be straight up like he his then blow smoke up our a$$ and commit to things long term that could very well turn out not to be true.
"The dude abides"
confused by what?
Boom, what? You can't be serious. Nick Saban said he was not leaving LSU WEEKS before he left. Things change. Right now, he has a contract with PSU and that's all we have. That's all all schools have. Grow the f3(k up and get over it. We don't have the stability we once had, and who knows if we ever will again. Seriously, shut up about this, it's pathetic and whiny.
On potential changes in administration:
"I have a lot of confidence in our leaders. Rod Erickson, Dave Joyner. I have good relationships with those two guys. Knowing the intelligence level and character and leadership charactertisics of those guys. I'm in line behind them and I stand with them."
On early enrollees:
"We have seven new players here on campus that arrived over the weekend. We're excited about those guys. We have a combination of scholarship guys and run-on guys. They're guys that we just want them to get off on the right foot academically. That's a big thing. We're excited about that group of guys and hopefully after signing day everybody will see we brought in a great class."

"I think many of the things that take place in recruiting has to do with manpower. Those are discussions we've been having for a while here."
Why not hold this presser last week when he returned from vacation? If it wasn't a leverage play, why the PR nightmare of NFL rumors and leaks from his agent. Why meet in secret with the Browns and announce it days later? Why not just come out and say at the end of the season that he'll be here next year and meetings with the NFL are professional courtesy? Where did the $1.3 million (well deserved) number come from?
He's too smart to stumble blindly in PR like the last week.
Had exit interviews with departing players. I did not know that.
"We've got a great kid there. Now he just has to put his head down and go to work."
on exit interviews with players after season:
"Definitely gleaned some insight. It's hard to get to know all 115 guys on the team. What I've always tried to do with these guys was meet at least twice a year but hopefully more than that. I was able to understand the plethora of majors these guys have. History, english, business ... able to hear how confident they are in their ability to know the system. Everytime you meet with those guys you learn something new."
"Curtis Dukes won't be here."
Any coach who says they're here for longer than the upcoming season has a chance to be proven a liar. Even if he committed it won't stop the speculation.
here's a great tweet:
Adam_Jacobi: @Ben_Jones88 Yeah. Asking him to commit for multiple years is asking an honest man for a dishonest answer. He's not a speculator. The end.
what Grue said above...
confused about everything in the last week....there's not one thing that is making sense to me right now...
Curtis Dukes is gone.
Get over your insecurities. That's because hes transparent and not going to lie to you. You think for second that if the Pats job opened up he wouldn't leave?
Perhaps that all we've heard over the weekend was that BOB won a big power play over Joyner. Now all of a sudden he's up there praising working with him. Something doesn't add up here. Numerous "insiders" swore this whole thing was about ousting Joyner and making changes. So either they were all dead wrong, or BOB ultimately lost that power struggle to Erickson/Joyner and this is the result. Either way, something isn't adding up right now.

I believe this is common practice. Gain insight from grad seniors about how to improve etc.

Oh man, OB just swore on live TV.
He stated his excitement for the "newera."

I wonder where he is heading.
You need to lean to take "internet rumors" with a grain of salt.
Small potatoes compared to his fighters comment!
what did he say!?!!?
It's okay, it's cable. :)
Was the cursing necessary? You internet gangsters amuse me. I'm going to leave it right here because I know I can't have an adult conversation with you.
I am confused on what you could be confused by???
