"DOMINATE the state" - James Franklin 1/11/14
“We need to keep this (expletive) together,” Mauti and Zordich to Hill
WE ARE! And we will always be...
The panic by some members on this board astounds me. I might get a lot of heat for this, but I feel like I have to say this. First off, I am deeply dissapointed in the lack of action taken by the 4 most powerful men at Penn State. They showed that they cared more about their jobs than the safety of young children and for that they will get the tarnished reputation and jail time they deserve. Secondly, it is time to face the facts, even though Joe Paterno was a great ambassador for Penn State he became too powerful and unfortunately made the wrong decision that will forever put an asterisk next to his name in history. Joe was a great man for the university, but he was one man and nobody is bigger than the university. Third, to all the worry there has been about sanctions let's all calm down. Nothing new was discovered and we have a new head coach who distanced himself from the university and the penalties that will result from this behavior will be handled by our legal system. Unless the NCAA is run by Pitt or Rutgers we should be alright. Finally, the academic integrity of the university and what we stand for will never change. A couple of men made horrible decisions and may have hurt public opinion about us, but We Are...and always will be ...Penn State.
