Good. Hopefully the end of amateur hour up there.
So your saying Bill O'Brien is now running the athletic department? What I don't understand is why Joyner is there to begin with and why a search hasn't started for a new AD... If BOB pushed for this to happen, well kinda good, but I don't really like him leveraging and making demands. Erickson is supposed to be president until June 2014 nearly a year and a half away. no reason not to look for a new AD now.
I thought Erickson was out in the next two weeks? I read it on the internet. It has to be true.
No I did not say he is running athletic program but he is now running football program without his hands tied behind his back
His contract runs through June 2014...
Erickson, in an interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, said he planned to step down as president when his new contract expires.
Erickson is out way before 6/2014. I know what his contract is, but I also know what is being said by some very important people at PSU
I heard the same.
Sources are telling me that complications due to acute lactose intolerance are forcing him to retire soon.
Good... things make more sense then.
Are you new-eraing us with the lactose intolerance thing? The fighter probably apologizes to the cows for being unable to drink their milk.

Nope, not at all.
When the scandal first broke, he ran and bought all the Sandusky Blitz from the creamery after they pulled it from the menu. He's paying for it now.
John Clayton just spoke on ESPN about BOB's decision to stay at PSU.
He said he's not surprised because he spent a lot of time with BOB before the Super Bowl last year, talking about the situation at PSU. Said he thought BOB wanted to be at PSU for the long haul, that he wanted to see PSU through the tough situation. Said that he probably would have gotten two offers but it didn't matter - he wanted to be at Penn State.
Awesome, caught the tail end of the of that so thanks for posting.
Seems like OB cleaning house to settle in.
I don't get how some of these national reporters act as if there was no cost-prohibitive buyout hanging over OB's head. The idea that multiple NFL teams were going to pay an $18m buyout on top of a salary is unlikely.
I think the first thing they teach in journalism school is "never let the facts get in the way of a good story"
Not going to lie that was a really good flavor. It was off the menu before hell broke loose. I was sick in Mt. Nittany (Fall 11') and my mom asked what flavor I wanted and I asked for Sandusky and they said it was discontinued. Three/four weeks later the scandal broke
I have one upvote left, and I am not afraid to use it!!!
I may have missed it but was the buyout verified at 18 million... the only person I heard really pounding the fact that it was 9 million was his agent and that definitely benefited BOB because I think if team knew for a fact going into these negotiations that his buyout was 18 million I doubt they would have wasted their time look at him as a legit candidate.
Apparently it spooked them enough to basically force a change at the highest levels of the PSU administration. Hopefully, BOB got what he wanted to do the things needed to be successful. I just hope this doesn't become a yearly thing. I'm not gonna shed a tear for Erickson or Joyner. The sooner they are gone the better. I just wish it didn't have to happen like this. I'm not gonna lie I'm alittle disappointed it had to happen this way but hopefully it works out for everyone.
Dominate The State
LOL -- Exactly.
I think what jive means is Erickson is making every and all mistakes and taking every fall possible -- that way the bar will be set so low, everyone will want the job.
John Clayton wakes up full of shit and goes to bed the same way. He's near the top of my "don't ever pay attention to anything he says" list.
Never trust a man with a ponytail.
More like rat tail.
I'm with you on every aspect of this post. Am on the record as despising Erickson and Joyner and am capitalist to the core. Just wish, like you, OB was able to effect change a different way.
Thank you Mr. Sunshine.
I never listen to him regarding any "insider" information he offers about NFL teams, but this was mainly his opinion after talking to him a year ago. Take it for whatever it's worth to you...
