With Cal firing Tedford he may be able to have some leniency granted to him by the NCAA. Since as we all know this wasn't to punish any of the kids.
LOL at Fortt.
Choosing you college program is not similar to choosing a girl to ask on a date. Geeez.
if fhortt wanted back i would take him. Im sure everyone of you did something that your parents would have disowned you for at some point in your life. People makes mistakes especially young ones. If he is man enougn to own up to a bad decsion and come back, then thats enough for me. Now, he would have to earn every single snap of football but it could be a positive for the program. Imagine the headlines on espn. "former player regrets leaving psu request to return to team" Albiet it could cause some issue in the locker room too.
\\for shits and giggles lets say it was, Fortt must not have very good taste in women

I would take him or any of the guys that left except heapla and nowitki, and that's only because they were dead weight. I don't get why people are so bitter these kids were the ones truly affected by the asshole emmert. They have all been through so much, remember these kids loved Joe and many of them looked at him as father figure. Put yourself in their shoes at such young ages. The kids that stayed are special and wise beyond their years and that is why they are legends and have 2012 up at beaver stadium with the championship and undefeated teams.
He should join his bro at USC. I'm sure Lame will take him.
Really a downvote....posted here so I could see if anybody knew about this rumor....not on twitter like this other character....thanks

Garbage....he would have to sit out a year under normal transfer rules.
I got you back. +1

Thanks....just wanted to ask about the rumor....been talks of transfer in...so was just posting
I appreciate people posting stuff from twitter, since I don't go on there. I don't see why you would get downvoted. Not like you were bashing him or trying to find out VIP info.

I thought Fortt was going to red shirt this year. It that is he case he might be eligible. I guess a lot of folks would be upset if he came back but we forget that he is still a kid and 20 year old kids have been known not to always make the best decions. My guess this rumor is wishful thinking from PSU fans that know we are light on LB experience next year.
I'd take Fortt in a second. We need the depth at the position and he'd be a great example for everyone else on why transferring isn't all that great.
Exactly...the media would be all over this and it would be more positive publicity for PSU
Screw him. He decided to bail with his buddy. I wouldn't take him back.
I highly doubt Fortt would be welcomed back.
FWIW wasn't there some talk out there that Fortt actually wanted to stay but his family, particularly his father, thought he should have started in 2011 and Nudged him out the door? If true this may have some part in the story
Makes no sense ... new staff would make new paths to starting position for those who deserve it. Why bolt on O'Brien, when the previous staff was the one that didn't bite on starting you?

I thought it was a bone to pick with Vandy. Passed on him as a starter before and obviously was a holdover from old staff. Sour grapes obviously, Vandys record speaks for itself...just remember hearing about this and can't help but wonder if kid/family may not see eye to eye on this

This is all internet rumor if you ask me. Why would he transfer anywhere now knowing he would have to sit out another year. Chances are he'll start at Cal under the new staff and enter the draft in 2014.
