well, that's a bummer.
He was only interested in Syracuse, and they never contacted him. As a 4th yr JR, if he doesn't transfer now, then he will stay at PSU for the remainder of his career. It appears as though Lynch and Silas are the remaining pieces of the RB puzzle. We need at least 1 of them to stay. My preference would be Lynch at this stage in his career.
Standing in the storm...AB = Leader...
Maybe Kiffin is just going to keep him out there on a non-ending official visit. That's one way to get around using a scholly.
bingo, agree with you my preference is Lynch. I just hope we don't lose both - that is my fear.
Black Shoes. Basic Blues. No Name. All Game.
If we lose both, then we're in trouble. I see Lynch as the far more crucial long-term decision. Silas may sting, but when we face the peak of this challenge in 3-4 years, Lynch will be extremely important.
If we somehow keep Belton/ZZ/Dukes this year and next, we buy some time.
I think keeping Dukes is key. He is the only one with real RB experience and has two years left IIRC.
The word is he's staying this year. The question is what happens after the season.
BOB is gonna earn that paycheck the next few years. Definitely set up to fail though
Would make no sense for him to leave after this year. He'd be a 5th yr SR, he will undoubtedly play this year, and so he'd be subject to traditional transfer rules. He wouldn't sit a yr to gain a 5th yr somewhere else. That's pointless.
All players on the roster get free transfers until this time next year.
What am I missing?

Tdiddy...help me clarify. I was under the impression players could transfer after the season up until the start of practice in 2013. The only thing playing and practicing with the team restricts them from transferring during the 2012 season. I'm pretty sure ANY player can choose to walk away after this season without having to sit a year. If what ur saying is correct that would be terrific, but I've read different.
Working out the details with the Bush's to move them out and move Silas into the house.
"Whoever’s trying to kill me isn’t getting the job done. But one day, I’m going to punch that f___r in the face."
This is beyond ridiculous now. This is like your girlfriend going away for a whole weekend with another guy and then we're supposed to just take her back. Get real.

The way that it has been explained elsewhere is that the free transfer rules prior to the 2013 season only apply to those who do not participate in the 2012 season. It is a way to protect any RS Freshmen or other unused players from being unable to 'leave with benefits'. I do not believe that a player can fully participate in the 2012 season, then transfer without penalty prior to 2013. We can get clarification, but my aforementioned explanation was the identical sanction handed to USC.
I was under the impression that transfers were allowed without restriction until preseason camp begins in 2013. Anyone have a link where we can look this up?
