"Penn State has taken a lot of punches in the last six months and it's time to punch back" - BOB
I like it
Meyer4Prez "This is wut happens when ur team site analyst are huge homers glad Bill K+Alex G keep it real instead of getting our hopes up."
I remember reading somewhere that AA had to go through an interview process to be accepted into that program. Im not sure if that has happened since he hasn't been on campus latley unless it was a phone interview.
Not to sure what I think of that letter. Part of me says great recruiting strategy and the other part of me says used car salesman pitch...
Two months ago, Chris Anzalone said right here that if all things were equal, he'd prefer AA went to PSU.
I wish he would make a return appearance on these boards.
I believe his parents and his brothers all prefer PSU.
Like I said before ... the only reason he took the SAT's last weekend was to seal the deal for PSU's BS/MBA program.
If he didn't want PSU, he would not have taken the SAT's again. His SAT's are already good enough for FL and ND.

His dad prefers Stanford according to his brother.
“We need to keep this (expletive) together,” Mauti and Zordich to Hill
Love the letter but I'm not sure it was written from PSU. Looks like it may have been written by Dr.Anzo 2.0 (Chris Anzalone).
I don't think Stanford is a factor at this point. His brother said AA felt out of place there.
He also said his father had a lot of respect for BOB and appreciated his no-nonsense approach to recruiting.
BOB was apparently on the phone with the Anzalones after the OSU thing went down.
Any other response from AA other than to retweet it?
@ReallyDhat_Kid Penn State fans are thrilled about your offer...imagine joining the family! Early xmas to us all!

Also Michael Ferns posted a picture of himself with Urban Meyer in his office wearing an OSU jersey

Hm...wonder if we'll get another verbal soon?
"DOMINATE the state" - James Franklin 1/11/14
Well, I'm guessing we will have another commit in the near future... Hopefully Benton can make it soon. Maybe we can get her the golf cart that Joe used when he hurt his leg?
WE ARE! And we will always be...
knew it would pay dividends quickly. Here's hoping that Dave wants to be a part of the fam. Time is a ticking...
Speaking of Bell...while I'm not exactly his biggest fan, I do find it amusing that a lot of people were disappointed in the offer to a kid who is rated 83 here. I know some people don't go off of the ratings, but it wasn't that long ago that people were fairly excited about getting a number of players rated the same grade or below (Malik Golden, 80; Jordan Lucas, 81; DaQuan Davis, 83; Anthony Stanko, 83). And Bell has a whole 'nother year to improve his game. Just kind of puts things in perspective...
Very true. All about timing with what happened last year those you mentioned were welcomed and rightfully so. This year Bell at 83 if people follow that is below AA 90-something and Benton 90 who many feel we have a shot at. IIRC Deeb is the same rating or close but as you said puts things into perspective.
Granted, timing certainly played a part. Though Golden and Stanko were two relatively significant targets early on.
