That right side is a complete disaster. Cameron and Zusi getting their lunch fed to them.

3 games, three different partners for Gonzalez... I feel bad for him. But hes done VERY well.
WE ARE! And we will always be...
Cameron has regressed crazy. He has zero confidence.
Gonzalez and Guzan have played very well. Rest of back four is spotty. Zusi got warmer as the half went along. Edu's touch has been abysmal. There are opportunities up that left side if Gomez & Deuce can combine. Jozy still to assert a significant influence on the match.
WHY why Eddie Johnson?
Edit: FOR ALTIDORE???? Are you kidding me?

Altidore has been poor and he looks winded.
Hes a hold up player... He serves a role that we need against this team. And he combined well on 3 diff runs. Including the one w Bradley.
We're not playing for hold up any longer. We're playing for counterattack which favors a player w more pace. Outside his combo w Bradley in the 1st half, he did nothing of note...not that he had many opportunities.
We've also switched to the 442, which is why the subs make sense.
Lucky there. That's a pretty obvious penalty.
We finallly have a bad call go our way? Weird
Oh boy...Brek Shea cameo
I'll take it. As maligned as our back line has been, they held strong. No complaints tonight. Tomorrow will be a different story though
When Chandler and Johnson come back, all will be better. The Q remains for me, who will pair with Gonzalez? Besler made a strong case tonight.
Edit: and we need more creativity up front. It will be interesting to see what younger players surface over the next year and a half. Carona didn't see any time, but he is practicing w regulars, and it has to help him.

The hopeful return of Landon Donovan should help.
yeah, Im not getting my hopes up with him. I would welcome him, but his head isn't exactly on straight right now...
He's back in the US now, and he appears to be rejuvenated. Bottom line, once he's back in form, JK can't afford to shut him out of the team. Nobody else can make runs off the ball like he does.
At the moment, I think Cameron and Gonzalez are our surest central combo with Chandler and Johnson on the flanks. We are deep at GK and the triangle of Bradley, Deuce, and Jones in CM is solid. To your point on creativity, within our system and personnel, it needs to come from the wings. Deuce isn't a true 10, but he still fits the CAM role in a 4231. I even believe that Jozy can be an effective front man in a 4231, but the wings are what make the system tick.
At the least, you need one pace player who can make cutting runs and attack while on the ball...and one technically gifted creator who provides quality service into the box. In a poor man's form, Shea fits role A and Evans fits role B. Gomez and Johnson aren't pure wingers, and Zusi is a CM on the wing for defensive purposes. I'm not sure who fills those rolls? Combo of Williams, Evans, and Shea? That won't strike fear into anyone's hearts. That's where we lack Landon Donovan. He is our only current top class player on the flanks, and it's desperately needed in a 4231. Even if we qualify...if Landon isn't in the WC squad, we won't go far.
Are you talking about Eddie Johnson? Because I read somewhere about Fabian making the move to LM if we fill comfortable with Chandler at LB & Cherundolo at RB.
I could be off there, and if I am, feel free to let me know. My soccer knowledge is limited to playing FIFA13.
In terms of the future for our wingers, what about a guy like Gatt?
Maybe he could develop into a threat from the wing, even if only due to his ridiculous speed?
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
Yes Eddie Johnson. The issue w your suggested plan is that Cherundolo is old. Perhaps he has one more WC run in him but I think the plan is for F Johnson and Chandler to be the 1st choice fullbacks in Brazil.
It'd be nice to have his experience on the field if we qualify...
Looking at the rest of the Hex, things set up pretty well for us.
We should pull two wins out against Panama and Jamaica, giving us some solid momentum going into Honduras take two. We can take at least a point from each of the rest of the games in the Hex, and probably should as long as everybody stays healthy.
I agree with him being a talent that you dont turn away. I dont question that. I question where his head is, and if he WANTS to play. If his heart isn't in it, I dont think he'll play.
