I've never seen such inconsistent play from the Steelers... I've been a Steelers fan for 20 years and this is baffling to me... What do you guys think?
Oh HELL no. And I'm not even a Steelers fan.
LOL NO!!!! Blame management for picking those guys.... Tomlin is as good as there is in the NFL.
PENN STATE FOREVER
Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS
No. Not a Steelers fan, but that is a knee jerk reaction.
"One man didn't build this program and one man sure as hell cannot tear it down."
No, and its why the Steelers are a consistent winner. They dont fire coaches willy nilly.
Absolutely not! They've been plagued by injuries on both sides of the ball all year! Tomlin is one of the top coaches in the league, and he's still young!
No but they better start getting some youth on that team.
"I like your head, it's a good look." - James Franklin, to a bald reporter asking a question.
Want to trade him for Chan Gailey?
You're asking what has to be a majority of Eagles fans... they would KILL to have Tomlin.
Though it is weird that we ALWAYS seem to play down to our the level of our competition
"Joe Paterno's the greatest college football coach ever" -Urban Meyer cleveland.com/osu/index.ssf/2012/01/urban_meyer_calls_joe_paterno.html
Hell no. Look at the injuries. Case solved.
WE ARE! And we will always be...
Agreed, and I hate the Steelers but Tomlin is doing fine.
The Steelers are not a talented team anymore. They are old and they have had a few significant injuries. I think Tomlin is doing a fantastic job with an average team.
Steelers are NOT the Steelers of a few years ago and I think everybody in America (except for Steeler fans) realize this.

Oh god....after watching Chan today, it is obvious he has to go.
I love the Bills, but we would have atleast two more wins with another coach. Chan is as bad as it gets. He is so damn arrogant in his knowledge of the game.
No!!! Remember when Cowher had 3 straight nonplayoff seasons in the late 90's and everyone wanted him fired (and most other teams may have fired him). Sticking with him turned out pretty well. Tomlin is a great and proven coach. Stick with him.
Yep. Rams driving at the end, we're up by 5 points. Just knew they were going to score a TD. Because that's what happens to the Bills.
When your coach and your QB both suck, then you're in trouble.
This was the easiest schedule we've faced in many years. Chan absolutely needs to go.
he just signed an extension, he's not going anywhere.
Dominate The State
But Tomlin has had a large role in many draft choices, including, for example, taking Jason Worilds over Sean Lee. Supposedly Kevin Colbert wanted Lee but Tomlin wanted Worilds.
Still, Tomlin has been a great coach. Four playoff appearances in five years, three division titles, two AFC titles, and a Super Bowl title. He has never had a losing season as HC. Most people would kill for that record. And the Steelers still hold the sixth seed this year.
Tomlin hasn't yet had the drought Cowher had from 1998-2000 or the clunker of a season the Steelers had in 2003.

Tomlin doesn't need value to the Steelers from a coaching standpoint. Maybe that will change when LeBeau retires, but it is what it is. I have more of a problem with the recent drafting. There are too few talented young guys on the roster right now.
No ... the franchise is going through some interesting times. This really is an old team defensively. Add in Ben's ailments, it hasn't helped much. They are going to need to get younger talented players in there and forget the ancient ones who are out more than they play.
When LeBeau retires, Keith Butler takes over. And he will be a great one. Been groomed for it for over 4 years...
Worse than Wade Phillips?
try being a lions fan for 5 years, then you'll get a better understanding of what warrants a hot seat.. steelers have had injuries everywhere on the roster and still have a winning record.. he should get coach of the year, imo and they are still on track to make the playoffs, stop whining.
Tomlin is a great coach. If you doubt that, you're letting todays poor result obscure his body of work as a HC. If ever available, most teams would love to have him. The Steelers D is older but still at the top statistically. Their biggest problem seems to be playing down to the competition too often. Great win at Baltimore, lay an egg at home against a 4 and 8 team. Put that on HC but nowhere near enough to not consider him a top tier HC in NFL. Old in some spots but young and talented in others like wr, cb, og and ot. Hot seat? His seat isn't even Luke warm.

This. HE's doing well for a team that has been patched together because of injuries all year.
Tomlin is the man. Period.
