for those of us in the mid-Atlantic region, there's this to speed up the bye week: http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/blogs/youngandhungry/2012/10/09/snallygaster-brings-rare-fall-beers-to-yards-park/
Young and Hungry is Washington City Paper's blog about D.C. food and restaurants.
BUMP. Here's the pumpkin beer bible from last year. If you spot anything new and exciting, do tell. Cheers.
Wow...how did you find this thread?
by typing "pumpkin beer" into the search box
Chris hates making it. It is one of his best beers but he has to open hundreds of big cans of pumpkin mash. He won a gold out at GABF for his honey beer but I still think the imperial pumpkin ale is their best brew
Also, another amazing pumpkin is Fegley's. made in Allentown at Allentown brew works.
Pumking sometimes has too much allspice in it for me. Still really good but third on my list
Just drove out to VA to a Total Wine and not a single pumpkin beer for sale yet. Those of you already finding them: check the born-on dates! Hah
Shock Top Pumpkin Wheat...definitely not my favorite. Not much of a pumpkin flavor to be honest.
Pumpkin beers...damn it's still summer!!!
Had an Evolution Jacques Au Lantern on draft last night. Very good.

Got a sneak peak at Dogfish's 2012 Punkin on Friday at the brewery. Definitely looking forward to its release.

Off topic, but did anyone go to the Millvale Brewfest yesterday?
Heading to lunch later at the brewpub. Hope it is on tap there!
Just had a that for the first time last night. That's probably right up there with Punkin Ale. I'll definitely be getting more of that this season.
Don't believe it is due out for a few more weeks. They only put one keg on for a sneak peak at the brewery the other day.
No worries. Guess I'll find some other great selection. Thanks!
I think the (Williamsburg) AleWerks Pumpkin Ale compares to Pumking pretty well...and its brewed 20 minutes from my house.
Agree with this.
Just bought the fall variety pack Friday, love that beer as well.
Enjoyed some Pumking by the pool yesterday. Couldn't hold out any longer, and it tasted just as good as it does in October.
"Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy."
Brooklyn Post Road Pumpkin Ale is pretty tasty. More traditional and subtle than Pumking. Love Brooklyn, and this is solid, but doesn't stand out much from others.
Dang it. I just had my hand on it 30 minutes ago, but got the outmeal stout because it was on sale about $3 cheaper. I'll pick up some in the next few weeks for sure.
I actually just picked up two 6 packs of Schlafly to start the season (as well as a Vanilla Porter from Breckenrigdge).
