According to official flames twitter account, Iggy a healthy scratch tonight for Flames, could he be on the move??

I'm told Jarome Iginla will not be dressed tonight vs. COL but that doesn't necessarily mean deal is imminent or close. Protecting the asset

Rumors today in BOS were Jordan Caron and Matt Bartkowski were perhaps on way out. Caron in, Bartkowski scratched, Krug called up.

Then BOS prospect Alex Khokhlachev a healthy scratch for Providence tonight and CGY announces Iginla a healthy scratch tonight.

As of last night, Bruins and Flames were discussing the assets potentially involved in an Iginla trade. Plan was to resume talks today...
Looks like they are giving up a pretty good center prospect in Khokhlachev, and a d-men whose played like 2 games recently in the NHL in a kid from Da 'Burgh in Bartkowski and I would guess a high pick for Iggy.

Just to reiterate, CGY has been asking for 3 elements: 1st round pick, top (signed/on the verge) prospect and a secondary prospect.
I was uncomfortable letting Morrow go, but a 1st RDer and someone like Bennet for Iggy, a possible 1 year rental, ehhhh I'd pass too. Think Shero did the best he can. Wouldve been nice if we couldve made this deal when Tangradi was the hot shot big forward prospect.

I hope this trade happens sooner than later. Gives a bunch of other Eastern teams plenty of time to get into a bidding war over Ryane Clowe.
Agree because I think the Pens were done after Crankshaft (BTW, howd he get that nickname?) and prob. is just trying to drive up prices for pieces like Iggy and Clowe.
We honestly have no idea who coined the nickname, or the inspiration behind it. All the players started using it, and Murray always dodges the question with a smirk when asked.
Lots of outsider eyes at the Sharks game tonight.

Since we're coming up on deadline, here's the scout list at HP: EDM, BOS, NYI, TOR, MTL, CBJ, PIT, OTT, CHI, COL, STL.
I just saw Subban intentionally rub his skate on a Boston player while he was down along the boards...wow.
Any truth to the rumor that Whitney could be going to Boston too?
Pittsburgh ain't giving up that ridiculous price for a pending free agent that has one less goal than Brodeur.
I know Pittsburgh has a scout in Calgary and he is scouting a certain player not named Iginla.
I hope so. That would make Boston easier to beat. He is terrible.
Oh, I thought it was Ray...I guess I assumed it wasn't Ryan. LOL.
Right, because that's normally how often Clowe scores.
He has averaged 20 goals per season over the last four prior to this year. He is terrible this year.
How many Shark games have you watched? Or are you just reading stat lines?
I have watched. He hasn't done much positive at all. How SJ can be asking for that type of return is beyond me. I'm sure you expected more from him - alot more.

So you watched a few highlights here and there, then scanned his stats over at hockeydb, and came to your "informed" opinion. He was bad for the first ten to fifteen games, but mostly he's just snakebit.
If you think a 20 game scoring slump is enough to kill someone's trade value in the NHL I have news for you, more often than not, you're wrong.
We got two seconds for Murray, who is two years older, and a whole lot worse, also has zero goals, and also a UFA. It's not at all unreasonable for a player like Clowe to fetch a 1st and a prospect. along with a conditional pick upon re-signing.
Like it or not, deadline deals tend to favor the sellers, not the buyers.
BREAKING: Pens traded for Iginla, they got rid of Kenneth Agostino, Ben Hanowski, and this years 1st rounder.
Kunitz - Crosby - Dupuis
Neal - Malkin - Iginla
I'm legitimately frightened.
"On paper they have nothing to play for– no bowl games, rankings, or championships– yet they play like they have everything on the line."
As much as I don't want to see it, I can see Iggy on the first line in place of Duper. He has the past history with Sid (although short) and is more of a sniper than a go hard to the net guy like Kunitz can be. I could see Duper falling to the third line with Sutter and Bennett whenever Iggy gets to the burgh. That makes three legitimate and solid lines, granted Morrow stays with Geno and Neal on the second line.
Article on the trade is below.
Lines will likely be Kunitz-Crosby-Iginla, Morrow-Geno-Neal, Cooke-Sutter-Dupuis, Glass-Kenndy-Adams. Vitale, Jeffrey, and Bennett are the odd men out.

Pittsburgh is stacking up talent like an episode of "Doomsday Preppers" baby. WTF is going on in the Burgh? Our ice show just got a little more crazy folks. Flyers fans, duck or run brother.........................
