Amazing isn't it?
Gagne has been in a freezer for 3-4 years he's so cold.
That's a brutal division. Poor Columbus i screwed.
At least, I will be able to get good seats for when the Pens are in town during the week.
Yes, but call me crazy, I think Columbus got the people it needs to run the organization well in the coming years. Davidson knows the game well and succeeded in St. Louis. He got the ball rolling there. The new GM has an eye for talent, especially overseas. Look at who he drafted in STL. He was one of the best scouts out there without question. These next few years, its about drafting for Jarmo and not necessarily making trades. With three first round picks in this deep draft, he can make an impact very quickly. That said, he can't afford to swing and miss in this draft either. Give Columbus five years and I think they will be fine. If you watch the way they are playing now, big improvement and this is without Nash. Columbus has been basically in every game it has played this year and has lost alot of one-goal games.
Gagne with a goal tonight for the Flyers. Up 4-0
With the shortened season, the schedule helps dictate some of these games IMO. Washington played last night and then have to travel to play the next night. Nashville had a similar situation where they played Friday night, traveled to Detroit after the game to play the Red Wings on Saturday night. Vancouver who Nashville played on Friday, traveled to Detroit too to play the Red Wings, but on Sunday.

Glad to see the Flyers doing their best jackal and hide impersonations this season.
"DOMINATE the state" - James Franklin 1/11/14
They played with tempo and except for the line that scored dominated the game. Best I have seen from them all year and Bryz looked good in goal. Hit at end of game was a cheap shot by Flyers, can not afford any of that crap in a short season. Ovi looked awful.
Jake is absolutely dominant right now. A pleasure to watch.
Move was dirty! Couts looks so much better since getting Gagne on his line.
PENN STATE FOREVER
Hopefully they keep this up because this is one of the best games they've played to this point.
Naturally, Bryz stops a breakway then gives up a soft goal 4 seconds later.
never seen a man stand on his head then miss one like that so often....
Flyers have been a good home team... Which is funny last year we were not as good as home but elite on the road... this year? Road is rough.
Thoughts on Luke Scheen? I have been VERY impressed... leads D in hits.... a plus 5 into today! Young good kid. Got his bro balling out.
Definitely improved dramatically throughout the season IMO. Very physical but doesn't take too many penalties. Near the top of the league in blocked shots. I'm a fan so far.
Luke Schenn is far from being a VERY impressive player. He makes many mistakes, bonehead plays and that trade looks BAD from an outside perspective right now. JVR > Schenn. They were just ripping him Friday on the XM hockey show when I was grabbing lunch. He's still young and has the physical tools, but he has a long way to go to live up to his high draft status.
About to settle in for a hockey double feature. Devils at 3, then Pens tonight. Maybe grab a pizza somewhere in between
That is the Toronto media banging on the kid. Watch the games.... He has been a treat in Philly. JVR is playing very well. His parent's were his downfall in Philly.
Its not the Toronto media, I've seen it other places as well. I've seen him play and have never been impressed by him.
when you watch the Flyers play the Devils.... not many players of ours look good recently. So it makes sense where you are coming from. The +5, hits, minutes, and PK numbers tell a different story.
Tough not to like what Rinaldo has been doing lately. Twice he's instigated penalties in the past 10 minutes and in general he's been playing well considering his very limited skill set.
He has changed his game completely. He is becoming an elite checker and defender.
I wouldn't say an elite defender, especially given he only plays 7 or 8 minutes a game, but he has definitely changed his game.
Last few games he has been seeing more minutes they said.... Wasn't it a game or 2 ago he had 15?
Against Winnipeg last week, but since then 3 straight under 10.
